Seriously, I don't think Richmond have much hope.

If all goes to plan Carlton will beat Richmond and I'll win the $40 million Powerball.

Fingers crossed ...

Bolton has announced that Garlett, Mullett, Dow and Kennedy will play. McKay won't.

Dow, Bam Bam, Mullett and Garlett to debut in Navy Blue...Kreuz cleared
Quote:
CARLTON will debut four new players against Richmond in the season opener tomorrow night, coach Brendon Bolton has confirmed.

Prized No.3 draft pick Paddy Dow will play his first AFL game, while former Giant Matt Kennedy, former Kangaroo Aaron Mullett and former Sun Jarrod Garlett will all play their first games for the club.

Ruckman Matthew Kreuzer is also a confirmed starter despite suffering an ankle injury against Hawthorn in the final JLT Series game.

Basher and Prestia out for Tigers
Quote:
PREMIERSHIP stars Bachar Houli and Dion Prestia have been ruled out of Thursday night’s season-opener against Carlton but could resume in Round 2 against Adelaide on Thursday week in what will be an emotion-charged pairing of last year’s Grand Finalists.

Win the centre clearances and we are half way there.

No more sleeps.

Can't see myself sleeping tonight.

Probably Cuningham left out.

I thought either Cuners and Mullet would fight out that HBF spot.

All starts in the midfield.
With Kreuzer as an extra mid, I hope he takes no prisoners in the guts and the hurt factor on his mate Cotchin and Dusty happens.

We can win this, as long as we play an attacking game whilst maintaining the defensive discipline we have learned over the last 2 years.

Lamb-Basher and Prestia out are good news for us, the former in particular. He always finds space against us and delivers well into our D50. I hope Dow can get in the game early.

Bolton has been extremely quiet this pre-season... mind focused purely on the job at hand. Bring it on!

Not sure we should be playing Mullet over Cuningham... hope he proves me wrong but i don’t think he’s a part of our future whereas cunners I see as a 10 year player

I completely forgot about him when I was writing that 22 out, he could just as easily be in for Lamb as well I guess. I agree with you, definitely has a future at Carlton.

I'd be very disappointed to see Cuningham overlooked for Mullet. I thought his pace behind the ball and kicking were of better value.
Garlett has to play forward IMHO. Too often we were found out with Silvagni running back toward goal as the deepest forward. He's too slow to fill that role and we actually missed a couple of goal opportunities in the JLT series.
We'd be better off with Fisher or Garlett filling that role.

Nothing about Cunningham. But the suspicion is Cuningham could miss out.
Hopefully not.
