Great future planning by both clubs.
There has been pressure to scrap it because everybody hates both clubs but there is no arguing the numbers. The AFL will have to hire another bean counter when these two teams are back playing finals against each other with the H/A games getting sell out crowds as well.
Add those two teams to Collingwood, Essendon* and Hawthorn being strong in Vic, the New capacity of the WA and SA grounds and the financial future of the AFL looks good enough to carry NSW and Qld.
I've been to a number of these season openers and I will say one thing, though. Richmond supporters are the worst I have seen.

What a horrible place to visit

I had to move 5 times for my personal safety back in 1965 when Ron Barassi toweled the filth up

I'd rather win 17 games and this one NOT be one of them.

Or 16 games and both Rich games not be one of them

Or 15 games and lose to Rich, Coll (Can't bring myself to say Ess*)

Or 14 games and...well, you got pattern 3 lines above

Mad scientist (assuming 'lab' is short for laboratory and not labrador)???

Otherwise, I'm conjuring up the words, 'fist' and 'guests in the labrador'

Seats booked for the game. Had no trouble getting on to Ticketek but there were not a lot of areas left. Not long to go now.

It's probably a good thing we are playing a more aggressive attacking style this year, or at least seem to be. Richmond's defensive pressure is first class, so to beat them I think you've simply got to be attacking to try and kick a winning score.

Did anyone have issues getting a seat today? Apparently" home only" membership bar codes didnt work and those members have to wait until Wednesday to get one.

I love your commitment, Kezza. You're always there to support the boys.
I go to most games but I cant bring myself to attend this one. Watching Shaun Grigg run around as a premiership player induces bouts of vomit for me.
