It indeed is a disgrace that we get a few Friday night games.

But we're more than happy to roll the welcome mat out for returning drug cheats.

Since this is a thread about next year and the start of the future, I would like to wish all contributors to Talking Carlton a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays or Season's Greetings, depending on which you prefer. I have said this before. TC for some of us who live in the distant corners of the globe is an important point of contact with the real people who love the CFC. We find out stuff that is never going to make it to our countries without forums like this.
A big thanks to you all for your wit, knowledge, humour, and even your barbs and criticism.
May 2018 see the beginning of the rise of the club for us all and on the real side of life, I wish you all the best for the future and look forward to crossing paths and swords again next year.
Kind regards,
BS

1 Jan 2018 in Mexico.
The start of the year of the resurrection.
The foundations are in place.
The system is in place.
The list is assembled.

Let slip the Blues of War!

Yes fully agree with BS - foundation is there now to take the next step. Will be following closely on line and through the watchAFL stream. Unfortunately no visit back to Melbourne over the footy season, off to play in the French Golf Open Pro-Am, a week in Barcelona then two weeks in Morocco. Nice.

Nice trip, Taff.
We're panning a trip back during the northern summer hols and should pick up at least one game live with Blue Beatle in that time.
Otherwise I'll be online as usual with my AFL subscription, which I hope is as good at the start of the year as it was at the end of last season. It started off a horror story but managed to sort itself out over the course of the season.

Spain and Morocco for me too this year. Hopefully some screen somewhere showing AFL.

I've traveled pretty extensively through the SE of Spain. If you would like some hints, PM me.
I nearly went to Morocco for lunch once but decided against it when I caught a few young men casing my car at the ferry terminal carpark where I was going to leave it with our packs inside. It put paid to my, "I once went to Africa for lunch" line forever.

I travelled through Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia when I was 19.

Morocco’s fabulous but Algeria’s the place that stuck in my brain. For anyone who’s off to Morocco I’d highly recommend trying to fit in a bit of time across the border too.

April, to avoid the Commonwealth Games. Will miss some of the early games.
