Am I right in saying its been 24 years since we beat Sydney at the SCG? (I think it was Round 7 1993)

OMG - thats a long time!

Am I being greedy in asking for another hoodoo to be broken this weekend?

I hope we can do it!

Seeing Fisher and Sammo playing next to each other.

These 2 are magic together. There's a special bond there from WA, similar roles.
The Cat and the Rat.
They seemed to go with the big hits on them. They wear hits like Simmo does.
I think they both have Good awareness. They will likely become A Graders.

Add Gibbs, Murphy and Kreuzer for grunt tomorrow.
Add the spirit of Armfield to tag Parker.
We may beat their midfield which is Kennedy and Parker.
They will tire.

...speed on the outside Boeky and Pickett....goals to Casboult and Curnow.
Lots of them.

I feel an upset coming on.

Hannaberry and Papley are big outs.

We have bigger outs with Curnow and Cripps.

Last time it was ACOS who stopped Buddy.
He's out this week.
Jones, Weiters and Plowman will wax on Buddy.

Tippet looks like he is that way inclined.
Not sure if he is Armfield's type

We played and won our GF against the Hawks.

Could be a bit of a let down this week.

Centreline 25. Zac Fisher 5. Sam Petrevski-Seton 12. Blaine Boekhorst
Half-forwards 46. Matthew Wright 30. Charlie Curnow 39. Dale Thomas

Followers 8. Matthew Kreuzer 4. Bryce Gibbs 3. Marc Murphy (C)
Interchange 27. Dennis Armfield 11. Sam Kerridge 16. Billie Smedts
31. Tom Williamson
Emergencies 32. Nick Graham 18. Kristian Jaksch 28. David Cuningham

I assume all emergencies who don't play hop on the earliest flight home possible and get a decent nights rest before the crunch Northern game at 11am Sunday? Bolts has said previously that a strong Northern Blues team is critical to AFL success and I think the club as a whole would love to see them play finals.

The following thought is highly unlikely but I wouldn't mind if they put greater emphasis on northern playing finals than the afl team beating the swans re fringe selections like Smedts vs Cunningham. How funny would it be if we dropped half the team to the 2's and promoted a bunch of Northern players to the AFL team? Haha. Obviously we'd get slammed in the press and it would look terrible and we'd never do it. .

Expecting a comfortable loss. Swans are looking ominous and will want to make a statement leading into finals.

I just hope we give it our best and the boys leave nothing left in the tank (but no injuries of course).

Roosy on League Teams last night basically said that this game will be seen as a percentage booster for the Swans. The arrogance is just awful.

Mind you, when was the last time we won in the final H&A round?

Before that 2004. Haven't won our final game going into a pre-season since 2004.

Another monkey to remove from our back.

Not sure that we'll win but I don't think Bolts would stand for a repeat of last year's final round 'effort'.

Ahhh yeahhh......

the wonderful Port people...salt of the earth
folk...!

I've experienced the experience over there...!

kindest regards tommi

an old bandmate of mine came over to Adelaide
to see us gig one year...he dropped his pants
in the members at a game earlier in the
day...three times...!

he didn't get to our show that night...got a thin
blanket instead...we'll let you out in the morning son ..!

the fact it took three times before they complained
says it all really...!

there may have been a bit of push'n'shove
i suppose...!

Really pleased the club has "gifted" Armfield a farewell game, (gifted according to the AFL web site anyway).
Looks like maybe we've learnt something after the Fisher debacle.
