Yep it's quite likely we'll end up with pick #4.

This.

Just FYI in my pre-season tips in a group of 25 blokes, I tipped Adelaide to finish top, Norf to get the spoon. They all scoffed - please God, if you're up there, make this happen :smoking: .

Wooden spoon could be decided by percentage if the Lions win. We need to turn up.

Not unless Nth beat the Saints then lose to Brisbane next week. Brisbane probably need to win next two also.6% is a lot to make up in r23.

If both Nth and Brisbane lose tomorrow it becomes a battle for the spoon between them next week.

We could be thumped against a Sydney team playing for top 4.

I'm tipping we will finish third last, just above GC and Lions on percentage. GC to win the spoon.

GC Can't win spoon. Nth or Bris as they play next week and both on 5 wins. GC on 6 already.
Now that we avoided the spoon, which is good news, best result for us is for Nth to win as they will jump above us assuming we lose to Syd.

Can't now. If Lions had won today they could've.

Pick 4 it is I think.

Umm... trade it for Josh Kelly?
(In which case it doesn't really matter whether we have pick 2 or pick 4...)

Spot on , even if we had pick 1 the trade would go ahead , if he decides to come over to us.
Once we're the nominated destination it's done.

I'd throw in just about all the'd want actually , one can take a simpleton view , but Kelly is on another stratosphere whichever way one mixes it .
We need to hauled up from deep down the well. He may be the ticket.

It might still be technically possible, albeit extremely unlikely. We'd have to cop a mega-beating from the Swans and then Brisbane would have to beat Nth by enough that their percentage went above ours, but Nth's also stayed above ours. And of course Gold Coast would need to win.

This game will be all about Jones vs Franklin for me. Been looking forward to this battle for some time.

whoever runs with him just needs to stand goal side of him covering his left foot and forget about making contact

Jones will attack the contest and back his pace to get there first.
It may go horribly wrong a few times but he has done OK so far using that ploy.
Kennedy leads at the ball carrier and gives his opponent not much of a look in but Franklin chases the footy all over the park.
Jones will chase him out past the F50 and then switch with Weitering or someone else while Buddy is too far out to score.

There is a lot at stake for Sudney and we can expect them to come out hard at the man and the footy but nobody will want to get reported.

I didn't think we were in with a chance against the Hawks but I think we will give Sydney a good contest and we might just scrape in.

Last game of the year. I'll be watching it from Mexico City this week en-route to Ireland. Last time I was in Ireland was in 1993 and I was forced to watch the GF replay on the big screen on the bulkhead of the 747 on the way home. I was traumatized.

I want to watch the game in a Carlton supporters area.

Any idea where that is this weekend at the SCG?

Not interested in SCG or Swans members areas, other than for pre game dinner.

My kids don't want to hang out with their Swans supporting mates, and their dad wants to drink beer, spill it and scream his lungs out.

My kids want to be with Carltonians for the last round!

Help

Am I right in saying its been 24 years since we beat Sydney at the SCG? (I think it was Round 7 1993)

OMG - thats a long time!

Am I being greedy in asking for another hoodoo to be broken this weekend?

I hope we can do it!
