Tried to watch the game on my phone overseas with little luck.

Have only seen bits and pieces.

Suck shit hawthorn.

Nice to see us be aggressive and be the bullies from what I saw.

Don't think Tom Williamson is getting the credit he deserves for his game, or in fact, his season.
Love his composure. Never throws the ball blindly on the boot. Always assesses the situation and takes the right option. A real gem.

That was a terrific win. Apart from all the positives mentioned, what I liked was our aggression towards the opposition. We stood up against Hodge and comp. and even won the little battles.
How good was it watching our youngsters not take a backward step! Awesome win and navy blue skies in 2018!

Line in the sand game ?

Well done Blues!

Particularly our defenders.

I thought we were a little flattered by average opposition. Reckon we've been better and lost in recent weeks.

Pros:
Loved our aggression.
Beating Hawthorn. Almost as satisfying as beating Essendon*.
Accuracy.
Brilliant game from Jones on Roughead. I thought he was our best.
Docherty was terrific and Murphy good. But thought we had a far more even contribution this week.
Probably Boekhorst's best game. Ball use very good.
Probably Thomas' best game for us. Looked to be moving better and kicking better than he has for years.
Probably Lamb's best game for us.
Probably Fisher's best game.
Pickett's best game. He was electrifying.
Byrne looked like he's beginning to move freely again. He can play.
Charlie.
SPS had some sublime moments with ball in hand.
Thought we had a pretty good run with the umps. Although there were a couple of holding the ball non-decisions that were incomprehensible.

Cons:
We've lost some of the draft leverage we were going to have.
SOJ had a shocking night in the marking contests. Seemed to completely misjudge the ball tonight.
Kerridge's kicking.
We always seem to finish games with one on the bench.
How did Gibbs mess up that goal at the end?
The obsession with Mitchell's possession count.
Roughead playing for frees.

It might seem important that we finally beat the Hawthorn hoodoo after so many attempts.

It might seem important that players like Boekhurst and Pickett laid claims to the foundation of serious senior careers for the blues.

But the really important thing tonight, for the AFL and all football supporters was that Jaeger O'Meara was out there on the ground. Just the fact that he was out there ....... sorry .... getting a little choked up .... Just the fact that he was out there, ... you know playing footy. That's what it was all about tonight.

Pretty much. It's as if we said tonight, we will not be pushed around any longer and bullied!
More importantly, I watched Hawthorn regress away from the physical stuff as the game went on, realising it wasn't working. As an old fashion footballer, loved watching us standing toe to toe with them and more importantly watching the kids taking the lead.

Loved it. 2018 will be our resurgence. Now I believe!
