The Boekhorst kick wasn't perfect but Gibbs still should have easily marked it and then gone back and slotted it from the set shot. Good thing nothing was riding on it because it was a messy moment.

I do agree that Boekhorst is a 24 year old who plays like an 18 year old. But Gibbs shouldn't have blamed that on him on TV, even if he said it half jokingly.

I agree it was poor form to blame him but the kick was totally inappropriate in the situation. Gibbs was back peddaling as fast as he could and only still got his fingers to it. He had no chance of easily marking it.

I didn't think there was much wrong with the kick - maybe a fraction wee long but imminently mark-able.

I wish all our players were able to kick inside fwd 50 as well as that.

What are the odds Lewis has even seen 1 second of the match?

Just re-watched the BB kick to Gibbs - it couldn't have been better......but don't tell Adelaide - let's just blame Boeky.

All Boekhorst needed to do was lob it into Gibbs and he could have easily marked the ball and gone back to kick the goal.
Lack of feel for the game.

Yep. Simple as that.

Luckily we won.

Boeky will learn from that.

Wrong kick for the situation. It was the sort of kick you'd use to spear a pass to Fev on a lead, not someone running toward goal

No one mentioning Boaky's shot on goal in the first that dribbled off his toe.
That was more of a concern than the pass to Gibbs.
He shat himself

I had one eye on Lamb and Sciliy all night. All Lamb was doing was pushing him in the side, not even hard. Then Hawthorn players would come in and start punching lambs arm trying to cork him, knowing that you can't gut punch or jumper punch anymore, there sniper of a coach has already taught them what to do instead.

Thanks for the insight.

Clarkson....now its time for us to give him some misery.

He is an enemy of Carlton. He must pay.
Winning against his teams every time and hurting them on the unsociable side should be our mantra forever more.
He'd hate to see his tactics work against him and we know he's a sook.

Yes he's had some great results, and I admit that to Hawks supporters.
Deep down I have no respect for him after his King Hit and the Fevola mugging...and the rest.

You can watch it 100 times, it doesn't change.
It was a shit kick. Gibbs nearly fell arse over trying to chase it and only just got hands on it before it sailed over his head.
A half paced kick to 20 out directly in front would have been perfect. It cost us a score and could have cost a game if a score was required.

it could've been a better weighted kick but Gibbs should've done better as well
