The fact that these flat track front running shit trucks will probably play finals fills me with confidence for 2018.

Another spoon coming.
Please nobody flowering mention green shoots or injuries tonight.

Sick of this s@#t.

SOS and the vet have used up all their grace and benefit of the doubt this year. Next year no excuse.

And the board should have sacked themselves 2 years ago.

Tell them to get back to work digging minerals for the rest of the country.

Not gonna lie. I really don't care that we lose this. Happy to see us play some good attacking footy and show plenty of fight. I reckon this has been the best game from the kids for a while. SPS, curnow, fish, sos, Pickett, boek have all shown plenty

I agree 100%
Add Williamson's first three quarters to that list.
Moshe is right, we are not ready for this all the time but I was pleased to see us try this tonight.
Add Cripps and Curnow to that midfield and we win.
Kennedy had 10 possessions for 6-1. WCE won that trade in the long term regardless of how good Chris Judd was for us and it shows that it is possible to trade your stars and still go ahead.
WCE won't trouble any sides above them, especially outside WA with the home crowd spurring on the umpires.
I have been watching footy for sixty years and I think tonight was the first time I have seen an umpire change his decision based on the comments of a player. (Curnow mark changed to a ball up). It was the correct decision in the end but WTF?

I can't wait to see what we look like in 3 years time. One things for sure we won't be a mentally soft umpire reliant outfit like the mob we played tonight.

What a refreshing change to watch us attack and attack via the corridor. Gave ourselves every opportunity to win, and even though we lost, I was content watching us play like that.

LOL. Did you really expect this year to go much better than what it has? The list turnaround in 2 off seasons has been outstanding. Almost every player they have drafted looks like a long term player, and most of them are playing every week. Almost every trade we've done looks like a win.

They haven't gone for quick fixes this time. They are building the club from the bottom up. We're growing through a little more pain now for the long term benefit. If it was about wins this year we would have kept players like Tuohy. It was never going to be done in 18 months.

I'm not saying it's the reason we lost, but the Eagles certainly had the rub of the green with the umpiring. Hardly surprising I guess...

The Curnow 'non mark' changed the game. They kicked 2 in a minute and that was it

Yeah, the free kick count ended up about even I think, or perhaps slightly in our favour- but that doesn't tell the true story. Oh well.

Easy misses by Kruze, Lamb, Thomas and Gibbs in the second quarter is the true story. Don't console yourself with 'bad umpiring' for the loss. Plowman also gave away two goals with silly tap ons instead of taking possession.

But that's where the negatives end because I am overall very pleased. Pickett showed another step forward, Kerridge played a decent game, Murphy hit the scoreboard for the first time in a while, Kruze was great, Jones was good again and our effort and pressure across the board was tremendous.

But how great was Levi's last quarter under pressure kicking? Good to see everybody here complimenting him for it.......oh wait.....people only comment when he misses. My bad.

Special mention to DesEglish for calling a 16 point loss early in the 3rd quarter.

Yes Willo too, and Weitering's best game for at least 6 weeks as well. Plenty to like from the kids. Cripps and Curnow for Army (bless him) and Smedts and it's a different result. Also Marchbank for daisy.

Those 4 relatively easy set shot misses, and Levi's brain snap on half time = the difference.
