Off you go then.

I suppose you thought he'd kick it.

Ouch. Would've been great to win that one.

Was Murph always such a butcher of the ball ?
I can't seem to recall him being this bad earlier in his career.

The very fact he, Armfield and to a lesser extent Smedts are in the side. shows just how bare the cupboard must be at the moment.
Don't think SOS was that bad actually.

Lot of comment about Simmo being cooked and he may well be but he is one of CFCs greatest warriers. A little respect.

PLEASE retire Simmo.

I also thought SOJ played well. Shanked a couple of shots on goal but overall played ok.

Blaine B is just so light. He gets buffeted off the ball so easily. He didn't do anything bad but he certainly wasn't able to impact a few contests I hoped he would. In the end we haven't had much of a go at it because nobody expects anything great from him.

Agree 100%. Let's not forget the service and excitement he has given us over the years. He would have to be right up there in our best ever players. His endurance and courage, and run, through some very dark years brought a lot of joy to the Club and supporters. From a 67kg skinny kid to a club legend in my book.

But there comes a time.

I love the guy but he's not even top 50 in the history of the CFC.

No other club has a list of greats like ours.

Yeah it's so funny. Who needs the teams equal leading goal scorer? All those marks and contests he busts a gut to get to are so overrated. Who needs him protecting our young boys in the forward line?

Thankfully our match committee see the serious side and select him every single week. He could be so much more if he could nail a few big last term goals, no doubt, but even without that he's invaluable at this stage of our development. When Harry and Kerr develop enough to get picked ahead of him, we will be a better side but we ain't there yet and for now he's doing a good job for us.

This.
As I said last week, he isn't the future but he is the present and nobody on the list is better yet.
It boils down to whether or not the coach wants to keep a player who can take eight or ten marks a week in the transition and pinch hit in the ruck as well as kicking almost two goals a week or not.
His chase at the end might have been ordinary but nobody has considered he may have already spent all his petrol tickets.
His miss at the end was bad.
Docherty cocks up a kick out after a behind but nothing said about that.
Docherty lets Weitering down and 'their' man gets an easy shot twenty out.
Everybody on the field makes a mistake. It's always the ones at the end people remember.

A special cheerio for those who were writing Jones off at quarter time as well.

Disagree...

Name 50 that are better.
(or to make the attempt easier for you, start with our team of the century and add 30)

In no particular order, I'll start:

- Mark Maclure
- Ken Sheldon
- Jim Buckley
- Wayne Harmes
- Peter McConnville
- Alex Marcou
- David Glascott
- Peter Bosustow
- Peter Dean
- Ian Robertson
- Brent Crosswell
- Peter Jones
- Bryan Quirk
- David Rhys-Jones
- Fraser Brown
- Matthew Lappin
- Justin Madden

I'll come up with more, but right now it's 1.16am and I'm tired and still angry.

:donk:

Frightening that Richmond seemingly think he's the cream on the cake

He'll suddenly kick straight there...lol. Rest of his game is ok.

The rest of his game:
Mindless push in the back when contesting ruck - the ump (and you) fell for a complete act from Joe.
Dropped chest mark when ball comes over the top - one dropped mark from a ball he would have never thought would get over the top is t a hangable offence.
Stopped chasing in the middle of the ground during the last qtr - this was indeed ordinary

Comments above in green. So many other mistakes from players go unmentioned yet everybody loves jumping on Levi. His chase was pretty poor though.

The chase was fine, he anticipated the ball being laid off to the guy running past and chose the wrong option.
