I'm surprised that Weitering didn't present Hooker with a corsage after the game .... that's what you do when you escort someone to the ball isn't it.

Whilst I hate losing, I think a much better showing than the last couple of weeks. We had some looks in that last quarter and couldn't capitalise which on one occasion would have had us 3 goals up in that last.

SPS, Jones, Kreuzer, Wright, were enormous today. Pickett showed more glimpses and I cannot wait until he does a full preseason.

Simmo is tapering off, not just today but in the last few weeks, the signs are there. Will be interesting whether they sign him on for one more. Reckon it's line ball.

As much as I like to see Docherty in the midfield, he really is better value to the team playing back. He is our number one backman, playing as a spare and making sure we have our structures in place. Not sure where this leaves Simpson, don't think we need to have two similar sized players playing as spares in defence. We need to find a replacement (Byrne) to take the small, pacey type opposition forward.

I'm a big fan of Simpson but today and the past few games he has really struggled.

Last few weeks?

His disposal has been killing us at crucial times for the last few years, especially against these arsewpies

Not only did his disposal but his refusal to man up, whT was he doing in the last few minutes calling for the ball in the 50, his set shots are more unreliable than anyone else in this side.

Remember that game where he kicked OOB on the full with seconds to go and the resulting free went down
for a goal and they won?

Look I'm seriously pissed off at the moment - so there won't be a lot of analysis and "pip pip jolly good show from an undermanned side" just a lot of plain unadulterated venting.

I hate these see them on Tuesdays

They went down for a point and they drew but I get your point.

Not really.
Can't kick
For someone known for his marking, misses too many regulation chest marks
Floats in and out of games.
Lazy lack of effort late in the last qtr led to a goal. Then to top it off, is given a regulation shot at goal to atone and of course misses.
Time to move on from him.

You'll find he's had a good year this year hence the interest for a few clubs. He and Kreuzer's on ball work this has been good with both doing plenty around the ground. So much different to our on ball division last year.

It'll be the same old thing, get frustrated with him and when he's gone then we miss him.

I won't miss him.
Would rather a kid in his position who I know will learn and improve than a 27-28 year old who still can't kick and fades in and out of games after 8 years in the AFL system.

I think it's time someone taps Simmo on the shoulder. Been a warrior but very clear now that his time is up.

For all of the arguments about the benefits Casboult provides we will not get anywhere with our attack built around him. Time to get what we can from him and try a new style.

I'll feel a whole lot more confident next year if Cripps is captain. If he's not ready maybe give Kreuzer a go. We need a captain who provides an influential physical presence.

Carlton 2016=10th oldest team in the comp
Carlton 2017=3rd youngest team in the comp

Before we slam Weiters let's ask how many other teams have a 19 year old 2nd year player looking after the No.1 or No 2 forward for the whole of 2017?
