Simon White offers nothing. In a side that's already too tall it's just a wasted spot in the side. I'd rather see Pickett or BB or Smedts.

There's so little run and midfield presence , I'm not sure what the objective is

I thought BB might have played White as a big bodied mid like he did once last year.

He did a couple of good things but I think we have better HB options.
One problem with those mentioned is that BB isn't playing anybody who wants to run off half back. The forwards go so high, we need time to set up the F50 and that isn't conducive to run and gun footy out of defence. Unless we have a mid who can run past the defensive wall and get behind it in space, run and carry players have to stop and kick across to someone while Levi etc get where they are supposed to be.
Most of our goals apart from the tall forwards marking seem to come from a turnover or a patient buildup that ends up in a switch to a two on one or three on two followed by a kick to 60 and then a bomb to the hot spot for a scramble or a pass to the 40-45 metre arc.

Not according to the channel 7 media, both last night and this morning. Chris Scott actually saw it and was able to give a very detailed description of it and says there is nothing in it. So move on.

Nah. My bet is he will get one reduced to a fine for a guilty plea and if I'm not mistaken, that will not render him ineligible.
It isn't as if he killed anybody.
And you can have a beer with him but only in the off season after Mass.

And he's got a nickname too, so must get off.
(Danger couldn't possibly do anything illegal on the field any more than Hodgey could.)

Nah not a chance. Look I don't think he should be suspended for that, but it's the AFL's own rules. If you pin the arms and drive a player into the ground, the responsibility is on you to ensure the safety of the player. It's ridiculous that penalties are determined by the outcome rather than the action, but it's the way it is. There has been a lot of noise about the AFL bending the rules for Brownlow fancies and finals/grand finals lately, Fyfe repeatedly getting off, Barry Hall coming out saying he should have been suspended for the Grand Final etc. They will be feeling the pressure to stay consistent on this one, and every other similar incident has resulted in a suspension

Agree Jake and imagine the hysteria if it was reversed and Kreuz had done it to Danger

Real test for AFL the problem is we know they are going to fail
Old boys network Lingy and Richo on radio the apologists for Danger. Not a dangerous tackle

If it means the Brownlow is Dusty's, I'd almost prefer he got off

We don't pin the arms in our tackles. Cats just exposed poor technique all night, using their stronger bodies to effect.

When you compare them it's hard to see him not getting a week

...but good bloke discount

And it's a Carlton player. I suspect Kreuz to get a week as the first player suspended for staging.

Not a big fan of Dangerfield.

Been involved with injuries to Murph, finished Juddy's career and now a crude tackle on Kruez.

@#$%&! I hope he gets rubbed out.

Cocky @#$%&!.

They showed each of these on the Sunday Footy Show and all the idiots on the panel argued that the McCarthy one was different because McCarthy knew his opponent had gotten rid of the ball, but Dangerfield had no way of knowing Kreuzer didn't have the ball.

Well if you've got both of a blokes arms pinned how the f#$% is he going to be in posession of the ball. It's impossible.

Maybe I was in some kind of zen like state at the game but I'm ok with aspects of the game.
Extended midfield game time for Fish sps Cunners. Charlie and Harry. Levi did well. Jack worked his arse off. Willo battled on thru injury.
Team outclassed but kept at it.

Those memories linger with me too.

He's a hard at it footballer, and like most hard at it footballers their objective is to hurt, wear down and or injure opponents.

In their head it is a game of attrition, or last man standing.

Given we have interchange these days there's only one way to ensure your team has the upper hand and that is with the number of rotations available to them.

He drove Kreuzer's head into the dirt with Kreuzer's arms pinned. Kreuzer got concussed as a result of the crude tackle. It was crude.

Just like bumping, you do it knowing if head is contacted and there's a concussion from the action its one week off. refer to Buddy.

Time is up for Dangerfield.

Are we calling to sakc the coach and board again yet or are the rational still in the majority?

Gonna be a dirty end to the season but who cares? We know where we are at, our best 22 is pretty good and our injuries have shown our depth is still pretty poor. We've unearthed a lot of 10 year potential both forward and back which will take a couple of years to really flourish. We desperately need to bolster the midfield now, which we can do over the next two drafts at which point the rebuild is complete, mids forward and back are all solid and developed along with some decent depth.

Looks to me like we're tracking nicely; don't get too high or too low. Lots to like this season and the inevitable end-of-season beltings won't detract from that for me.
