Will be interesting to see if White is named given he squibbed it twice against Geelong.

This is why his decision to play on should be considered dumb, not courageous. Why should a player have to carry the burden of perhaps ending his life if Lonergan foolishly plays on.

Colliding with someone with the point of the knee should be taken out of the game anyway.

Either you go up into a contest with a straight leg or make sure only the flat shin area makes contact if you're going for Murphy-like spectacular high mark.

That's not practical Rexy.
The raised knee is used to gain elevation for the mark. If you take the high mark out of the game, it will lose a lot of its appeal. Its not like there's been an epidemic of players losing kidney over 150 years of footy.
We shouldn't become too reactive to any injury. The rule that adjudicates against contact below the knees is a disgrace IMO.
Of the small number of significant leg injuries, most have been from players sliding in with the feet or legs. A player should be able to dive on the ball without getting penalised. Any rule that prevents players from instinctively going for the ball is detrimental IMO.

Exactly. Have thought the same thing since that sliding rules was brought in. Take away the desire to go for the ball and the game deteriorates to a dwellers game. Far too negative.

Geelong supporter I was talking to today claiming Dangerfield's suspension was a travesty because Kreuzer was able to play this week.

It reminds me of the Jordan Lewis suspension earlier in the year. Mark Robinson was pushing for his mate Lewis to get a reduction of his suspension because Cripps played the next week. No recognition of Cripps for having the courage to play with a cracked jaw. Lewis was the victim. :screwy:
Flog.

Noticed Darcy made mention yet again on the sat night coverage that Kreuzer was available to play the week after his hit.

Are the tribunal meant to wait a week & see if the player comes up??

Idiots
