Looking at our draw and the draws of the Lions and North we are a huge chance to finish last and snag that number 1 pick.
We have established ourselves now as a team on the rise and believe finishing last this season could be the biggest bonus of all.

We are clearly not a side who desperately needs the number 1 pick but to add to that pick to our raft of young talent is the best result for us moving forward.

I know the club won't tank but i think it's time to see KJ, Boakhurst, Kerridge, Graham, Buckley, Sumner and every other fringe player we have play out the season. So we can access which one's will continue on at the club. The pro to doing that is we are probably not going to win another game.

What do you all think?

There's little or no danger of us winning another game this year either way. No need to tank.

SEN were discussing this today. They say the AFL will be watching closely and they suggested that North has already shown what their intentions are by playing all of their kids on the weekend.
As you said, we have a tough draw so even if we try our hardest it is unlikely we will win a game anyway.

the afl will be watching us closely? we have a 26% winning record over the last 60 odd games and suddenly they'll be watching.

We might be half a chance against the Hawks.

Not watching us but all of the matches involving the teams at the bottom.

On paper, we probably won't win another game this year. I have a feeling we'll jag one more, cannot say which one, but we will.

If there is one game we can chose to win this would be the one.

I think North will out tank Brisbane.

Only game I hope we win is against Essendon*.

did the ladder predictor today - more for the top 8 than where we would finish. I had us second last 1 game ahead of Brisbane. I think that is where it will finish.

I really don't want us to finish last.

Is there really that much difference between pick 1 & 3??

Three teams I really don't like losing to...Bombers, Hawks and West Coast.

Screw the draft, I want to win and will barrack accordingly.

I would like to see KJ in for Graham.
We have seen enough of Graham for staff to know if they will keep him or not. Time to give others a run.

The run home...

Carlton:
Geelong
Essendon*
West Coast (away)
Hawthorn
Sydney (away)

North:
Melbourne
Collingwood
Hawthorn
St Kilda
Brisbane (away)

Brisbane:
West Coast (away)
Bulldogs
Gold Coast
Melbourne (away)
North

If all games go to form - I don't see us winning a game in the run home... Brisbane can beat Suns and North and jump to 16th... North are a chance against Brisbane

It may come down to % with three teams finishing on 20 points... and I don't like our chances in this scenario

@#$%&! the spoon... this is why I was so disappointed with yesterday's game

With Hodge doing his farewell tour they'll be trying to win every game in honour of the Goodest Bloke in Footy.

I dare say Norf won't be trying too hard to win any games because they'll want the best pick possible if they're any chance to get Kelly. Lions are probably happy with any top 3 pick.
