Will be only the second time Menzel has played against Carlton. The first was his second game, in 2010.

Gibbs rested last week for this one, rest of team only played a half plus all had a weekend away in Brissy so we should be nice and fresh this week, Blues to beat a tired Geelong by 23 points.

Only one game between us and Gelong has had a winning margin of more than 19 points since 2011. Most actually under 10 points.

Just like we matchup poorly against certain teams (Lions and Saints to my mind) we really match up well against certain teams. We always play well against Geelong. I bought my tickets a few weeks ago knowing we are always a chance against this mob.

I'd feel a lot better if Ed, Cripps and Marchbank were in but I don't see a blow out happening here.

We need a bit of pace too.. If there is no role for SOJ he could make way for Boekhurst, who I thought played alright last week... Possibly Smedts too, or instead...

Boekhurst isn't our future, you don't drop a kid for him.

I get that (I think even if he's kept this year, he'll remain a bit player) , but either we don't need extra pace this week , or we drop someone if we do... And I would still give Boekhurst a go... He came in... Not sure why he went out... Therefore may warrant another go...
