Also, had enough of Levi. If he wants to leave to chase the $$$, see ya.
Play McKay and or Kerr for the rest of the year. Got nothing to lose.
They may not deserve a spot in the seniors on current VFL form, but neither did Anyone else.

I thought Casboult had turned his form around with the coaching he got from Rocca but he is still patchy, in both kicking and marking. Of course it hasn't helped that the delivery into the forward line has been abysmal.

24.14 isn't patchy. It's probably team leading efficiency. But that's a guess. I didn't check.

7 OOF and another 5 that didn't clear the line
50 attempts at goal for 24

I would love to know how many times a game are forward entries are directed at him

Trying every little possible bit of detail to fuel your agenda. Face it, his his dual role this year Casboult has had a good year. That's why he is attracting interest and why Carlton wants to keep him. Kreuzer and Casboult have been the best ruck combo in the comp this year.

You wouldn't trade them for Bellchambers and Daniher? Jacobs and Jenkins?
What are you judging this on? I call rubbish !

Our combination of Krooze and Casboult is held up by Kruezer.

Horrible game, the worst since the Port debacle.
I think we will struggle to win another game this year, almost a replica of last year.
The usual good players in Gibbs, Kreuzer, Docherty.
It is going to be a long 6 weeks.

His point was Bolts done well this year. There should be no argument there.

But if you wanna make subjective comparisons (which is all we can really do) then you can try to judge it on the direct competition between the pairs. They outplayed the Bombers and I remember Jacobs and Jenkins have very ordinary games against our pair. You asked.

All sides have injuries and yes we are more exposed because of our lack of depth but...

Our decision making errors by experienced, inexperienced and 'not up to it' players cost us the game

Many of those execution errors were not under pressure.

Graham, kerridge and anyone else who butchered the ball coming into I50 didn't do it just because Cripps and Cunningham weren't out there. We would've been just as pissed off at Graham's two I50 butcherings even if Cripps and cunningham were playing

Of the 5-6 errors I can think of, they either denied us a goal or cost us a goal

Get a half of those right and maybe we pinch the game

Injuries shouldn't be used as an excuse for how we played today.

Dogs would have liked Boyd, Boyd, Crameri, Jong for selection....

We tried, but just fell down on the skill levels and execution

Fact is, we lost again. Against a team that has been putrid for about 2 months, yet the excuses keep getting made! Argue as much as you like, Wembley are a 50% decent football team, the other half is barely recognisable as AFL level, and there is no evidence to suggest that will improve anytime soon!

bloody hell not bad for only half a side

By that I mean we can defend, but unfortunately AFL football dictates that you need to score to be a chance to win! We can't score!

oh is that what you meant

You're missing the point. They are saying the Dogs have a deep enough list to cover for those injuries but we don't have a deep enough list to cover our injuries.

For those who think Graham and Kerridge hurt us (includes me sometimes although I though Kegga was good today) take a look at their stats compared to Murphy. I'd never drop Murph in a million years but his output is really poor. The other two have better stats in almost every category.

GRAHAM
65% efficiency
15 efficient disposals
10 contested possessions
6 clearances
6 inside 50's
1 goal
2 goal assists
4 score involvements
4 tackles
3 clangers

KERRIDGE
76% efficiency
23 efficient disposals
12 contested
3 clearances
2 inside 50's
1 point
1 goal assist
4 score involvements
2 tackles
5 clangers

MURPHY
62% efficiency
17 effective
7 contested
1 clearance
3 inside 50's
0 points
1 goal assist
4 score involvements
4 tackles
5 clangers

Yeah great stats

2017

Murphy
Ave Disposals 30
Disposal Efficiency 72.5%
Clangers 3.38

Cripps
Ave Disposals 24.9
Disposal Efficiency 68.7% and that's from just under 60% of possessions that are handballs??
Clangers 3.33

So of course not being biased you'd mention your name sake when necessary

As expected. We get little glimmers of sparkle during the season to show we're on the right track. Then we get some injuries, some players have a slump with form and the wheels seem to fall off. Development is the name of the game. We've got a reasonable list considering the pickings available these days, and we are going about it the right way getting SOS at the club. Not too concerned about where we're at. We are competitive and not the guaranteed pushover we've been in the past. This will continue as we develop the list and our recruits mature.

Go Blues!!!

I know we're starting from defense and building into attack, are we doing the same thing by training players to only kick on their dominant side with a view to eventually developing dual sided players?
It's such a disadvantage having one sided players. SPS is the only player in the team who is willing to kick on his non dominant side. Ask Heath Scotland, Ryan Houlihan and Greg Williams if kicking on both feet helped their careers.

22 minutes into last q, Charlie sprinted 100 metres towards the members to give a good target to Bambi ( oops, I meant Simmo) . Because he has no right foot Simmo stopped and turned inboard to a poor option, a few moments later another goal to the opposition.
We will be a good team when we have senior players who can execute a basic skill and honour the hard work of a younger team mate.

We have certainly been competitive.

Only the one real flogging this year.

With our few injuries, the arrogance we had has been destabilised.

That first half of the season, we'd pick a player and target him, hassling and niggling at every opportunity.

It was great to watch and set the tone.

That seems to have disappeared in recent weeks.

To let Young get away with the game he had was deplorable. Dare I say it, but Thomas wouldn't have stood for it.
