Would love to see Buckley make it. You just know that sons of former players have that little bit more affinity with the club and see it more passionately than their job...Do a Liam Jones and revive your career Dylan!!! Still remember those goals against Melb last year. Has a great kick on him distance wise Here's hoping he gets a 2-3 game run and then finishes off the season strong enough to get at least a 1 year contract And Byrne...absolutely love him! Gerard Healy made a point of lauding his feats after the Gee game last year There's a bit of Peter Motley about him. Let's hope he's luckier than Mots Go Ciaran!!!!! |

Michael Jezz wrote: Two things about Buckley: His last 3 or 4 games in 2016 were good. Second: he impacts games when he gets it right You don't delist a player like that without getting a run. He deserves as much of a chance as Sumner and at this point he is on a par with Boekhurst. Obviously not or he would have played before now. He's been very average in the VFL and he's fortunate we have enough injuries that he's been offered an opportunity. I hope he can make the most of it but it would take a significant change of form. Personally, I hope they play him on the wing or as a half forward. He hasn't shown an ability to play as a small defender. |

I hope it is the wing too BV. I want him to succeed. Some players just thrive in the spotlight and I hope he is one of them. Entertaining and uplifting to watch when he is flying. Like all speedsters it is the finish he needs to get right. Can't have enough passionate bleed blue players in the team, so I hope he aces it. Byrne looked impressive in the two's. |

I want to see Buckley play as a small forward. I feel his pace, pressure and reading the ground ball suits that position. |

Smedts was held back in the VFL? So was that for a possible late change or just as a true ' emergency ' I wonder? Go you good things |
