Missed Marchbank. Backs look unsettled without him.

Sheehan....heaps to learn.

Pros:
Team "endured" for the whole match with 2 men down
Youngsters contributed on the whole
Doc moved into the midfield and dominated - he is a wonderful player
We did not take a backward step to Demons aggressive style

Cons:
Just lack run, class and poise in these tight games
Despite this straighter kicking and we would've won. Misses by Levi (again), Gibbs very costly
Weiters not quite to the standard he's capable of. A few efforts he could've done better which unfortunately led to goals
Sheehan looked out of his depth. Disappointing as l rate him.
Conceded 4(?) goals to free kicks
Cripps injury

Other:
Lewis walked off the ground instead of a stretcher! He is a complete Flower
Oliver is fast becoming a knob of the highest order

So many kids doing kick to kick at halftime were calling each other Kerridge when they missed a target or dropped a mark. Pretty funny.

Sad thing is the bloke runs perfect patterns and is always in a great position to receive the footy. Just a total butcher.

How great to be within a kick at the final siren against a side 10 spots above us on the ladder and be gutted. And legitimately gutted. Because the best team didn't win

According to the AFL app Tracker we ran 3km less than Melbourne in the last half.

Affect of rotations at a guess.

Ditto for me too re that goose - Gary Lyons love child - Clayton Oliver.
Not just the faking and diving and then trying to defend himself on twitter a couple of weeks back. But the cry baby stuff today, squealing like a pig, fronting up to spectators in the crowd, carrying on when mummy didn't give him what he wanted.
Looks like he can play, but mate flower pull your head in, you are embarrassing

I was just about to write that, almost word for word I reckon

It good to feel gutted than happy we got close - I think that shows our expectations are rising from a now competitive Carlton!

This loss hurt. Haven't hurt like this for a very long time.
Some of our kids are going to be very good, some are going to be great and 1 or 2 are going to be superstars!!!

Ps Casboults marking today was just sublime ...

They had a number of their best players out though.

Good effort by us with 2 men down.

Them: Viney, Jones, Tyson & Watts

Us: Marchbank, Willo, Ed, ASOS + 2 today

Let's not get too carried away with their "plight"

They're also 2-3 years ahead in their development

Still valid - we are still some way off just yet. Promising signs. Important that the coaches keep all this in perspective. One of their primary tasks is to keep the playing group positive and keep working on remedying the well identified issues. The basic skills are not good enough across the whole squad so plenty of work still to be done.

Last week it was too little poise and too much Pannel.

This week it was unfortunately just too little poise.

What do you do with kerridge?
He has many afl qualities and then has this fumbling problem and its not as if we can afford to delist him with our lack of big bodied mids

Dees have a huge flog factor about them with Oliver, Melksham, Lewis, Viney and Vince just to name a few.

I don't disagree with you but at least tell the full story - Them: in addition Salem, Brayshaw, Bugg whom are all good players

We desperately need to build more depth through the midfield and forward line

Given we have lead 5 times in the last qtr and lost this year the bright side is we don't have to improve much to play finals at least.
