You don't change the things that are working well. There are plenty of other players on our list who don't have defined roles or haven't established a role for themselves. They're the ones to consider, not someone who is one of our few consistent winners.

Haven't you also considered that our backline is also our strongest part of the ground with by far the most depth where we can cover for Docherty's loss or move elsewhere?
There have been some on here who keep coming up with Doc's form and blast us for daring to suggest a move elsewhere. I ask them if they know that there are 22 players in the team that takes to the field and not just one. :roll:
Give us some names then Blue Vain. Who else tags outside E. Curnow?


I haven't suggested anywhere that Docherty has to play backline. In fact, he's played quite a bit in the midfield this year. But as a ball winner. He's one of our best ball winners, one of our better ball users and one of our best readers of the play.
Using him as a tagger would be foolish IMHO.
