We got out of jail because Barlow broke his leg and their heads dropped, let's not get carried away. When are we ever gonna be a team that can comfortably win a game of footy for a change?

Gibbs superb, we've gotta try and keep him based on this form.

Levi you can take a hike for a few weeks and deflate that head of yours while you're at it.

Rapt for Jack Silvagni and Liam Jones.

Relax. We were barely expected to win a game this year. We've got a bunch of kids. We're not capitalising on our dominance but we are dominating games. That's unbelievable for where we were 18 months ago. The polish will come soon and we'll win games like that by 10 goals. Levi's turnover probably cost us a 10 goal win. 2 goal turnaround, Let them back in and completely turned the momentum

I understand that. I just got a bit emotional tonight because I ran out of patience after defending the boys all season for the mid game fade outs which cost us against the Dees, Kangas, Suns at home and the Saints. Yes I have high standards but that's what we need to bring back at the club to return to the glory days. A winning culture at all costs.

Anyway I also outlined some positives above already, I'm glad we got over the line, it's all part of the journey as Bolts says.

Yeah, but you can't expect us to be a top 8 team already and just winning games like this easily. Gold Coast are a good side and at home. We are way further in our development than any of us would have dreamed after 18 months under Bolton. People forget just how shit we were when Malthouse left. And on top of that we've lost a heap of senior players.

Everything is coming up Milhouse

I might go into my yard and pick some avocado, have a coffee and read the local papers.
Unfortunately they are in Spanish and nothing about the AFL.
At least the avos are fresh and the coffee...

Interestingly, if we won the 3 games we led in the last qtr and lost (Melbourne, St.Kilda and North Melbourne), we'd be sitting 4th! While it's all ifs and buts it does show we are not that far away.

What a fantastic win. Challenged late and we held our nerve and even iced it. Rapt and well led again by Gibbs and our leaders....great stuff and I can finally smell what we are building.

Am I the only one who thought Kreuzer was immense again? No love in the MVP voting

Really good win, was angry at Levi during the game and the team for not putting them away but really happy we regrouped and took control again.

Barlow going down helped us, but says more about how flakey the Suns are if they can only play with momentum

How miserable do you have to be to say "Yeah, nah, we only won because X was injured"?

Oh lord, at the risk of hijacking this thread.....

It's an observation of what happened. We benefitted from an injury which completely stopped the play and allowed both team to huddle together for a few minutes to regroup. That's much more significant than a player coming off the ground injured and play continuing uninterrupted.

Stop reading into things so much.

Great team effort. Thought some key moments in the last with Fisher around the ball was key with his run and tackling.

Kudos to Jones. Backed up a good performance last week with a blanketing of Lynch and holding him goalless.

Amazing effort and grunt plus plenty of small learning opportunities for the kids. Cunningham, Fisher and Sammo all did good things but had opportunities to put their bodies over the ball a little better instead of trying to pluck the loose ball while dodging contact. To be clear I'm not saying they were being soft in any way but they just needed to impact one or two contests instead of trying to make the clean getaway.

Great win. Thought we had run out of legs.
Backline awesome, Kruze and gibbs brilliant but all chipped in.
Casbolt so frustrating - works hard, gets the ball, but back to last year with his kicking. He would have felt soo lousy.
As other posters have said, some polish in the forward line and another midfielder to start getting some easier clearances and we would dominate. Don't think I would swap our backline (Weltering, Jones, Marchbank, Plow, Doc, Simmo) for any other backline in the league at the moment.
Go blues

It sucks, but unfortunately the way the game was panning out, I can't see us winning without that break in play.

Sure, both teams had to adjust and we did so better, but this is still an unfortunate reality.

Great effort from Gibbs. Seriously underappreciated talent.

Imagine the vitriol on here if he had been traded and was producing this for the Crows.

Lots of good players tonight. Not worth focusing on negatives.

If Kreuzer continues this form, he will be a smokey for AA. Doc should be a lock!

 thanks, I wasn't deliberately trying to be a downer.

I think we're tracking even better than last season, I see a lot of positives.
