I might go into my yard and pick some avocado, have a coffee and read the local papers.
Unfortunately they are in Spanish and nothing about the AFL.
At least the avos are fresh and the coffee...
Delicious

Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico

Hi from Chihuahua - plenty of avocados but the coffee is shite!!!

We won. Better than expected.
Levi cost us 7 goals 3 misses. 1 oof. 1. 2 turnovers and a dropped chest mark.
Curnow, Silvagni, Bokehurst goal kicking
The forward line requires a rebuild.

To me, what went unnoticed was OUR Captain's words of encouragement to Barlow when he was on the stretcher.. Quality with a capital Q.

Bolts is true to his words and is going to make these blokes better people.

From what I'm seen, he is going to make some of them Premiership Players.

The transformation of OUR club is simply astounding.

GO BLUES

Completely unnoticed on TC.

But hey, he can't kick on his left, so he's scum.

So does that mean you didn't post about it either?
I'd rather Murphy could kick on his left than be PC. Perhaps Richmond would like a PC player in their team and will swap him for Dusty.

No he's not scum but he has some serious issues around physical contact at the moment and that's not a space you want your captain to be in.

Just pulls out of too many situations and also makes too many mistakes.

I like Murph and he's a "good" player but he's not a "great" player and he's not a leader and he shouldn't be captain.

Give it to Docherty next year.

Did the commentators miss it too?

Like him I think you've missed one.

The sitter of a mark my dead grandmother could have taken in the last quarter.

And the pass to Jack... Had 3 options and picked out a GC player.

That was the killer for me. I can handle set shot misses from time to time. He's been pretty solid in that area this year.

But he managed to pick out the single GC player when he had 3-4 players clear. If he can't execute a situation like that by now, he will always be prone to @#$%&! ups like that. That's the sort of thing that costs you close games, costs you finals, costs you grand finals

Pros:
Fantastic start to the game. Probably our best quarter for the year. Also loved our willingness to fight for the win, once GC got in front.
Best clearance effort for the year.
Played smart wet weather footy.
Got a nice run from the umps early.
Those who iced important set shots: Boekhorst in the 2nd. SOJ and Gibbs in the last.
Senior group again. Gibbs deserves special credit. Never seen Kreuzer look as sure/dangerous in marking contests. Really like how the MC are giving Docherty some time in at the centre bounces.
Really, really happy that Jones was able to back it up.
Was encouraged by Boekhorst. Not sure why he tried to dribble the ball through in the last quarter. And would have liked to see him find more ball in midfield. But liked his willingness to work back into defence. 4 tackles is pretty good for Boekhorst.
Weitering.
Casboult's aerial contests.
Charlie's 1st quarter.
Lots to like from SOJ, Fisher and SPS.
Fringies like Thomas and Lamb were pretty good.

Cons:
Casboult and Charlie's goalkicking. Casboult looks like he's lost confidence again. And Charlie's struggled all year (particularly strange, given what a beautiful field kick he is).
The obsession with Ablett by the commentators.
Cuningham was a little quiet, although I enjoyed his finish to the game.

All done that before. There was also the brilliant kick to Daisy in the first qtr, 8 strong marks, constant crashing of packs to create contests. He work with Kreuzer on ball is a terrific combination. Kicking at goal though, frustrating. There's the very good and the very bad. He was both a big positive and big negative in the same game.

Noticeable on the TV that it was a big Blues crowd... Good!
I'm guessing 12,000 is a good crowd for Gold Coast?

Hopefully be huge next Sunday.... Can't wait ;)

Hasn't been a better game from a Carlton player since we had Diesel. Please stay Bryce.

This was the game we've been waiting for from Bryce for 10 years. Bravo.

Ed Curnow was the unsung hero today. Kept Ablett's focus off the contest (as far as anyone ever can) and hurt them the other way as well.

Dale Thomas also fantastic - still a long way off repaying us for the money he's banked but emerging as a real steady head for us. Hope he doesn't have anything to worry about from the tribunal.

It was also a nice return to the side for Boekhorst as well. Did some really nice things coming off half-back.

And Liam Jones absolutely destroyed Lynch. Well done Jonesy - keep it up!

Ablett is a bull.
Ed is as strong as an ox.
Good matchup.
Gibbs was head to head with Ablett for a while as well and based on pure numbers must have done OK.

I could pick a handful from Kouta in 2000 but other than that, yes.
