Assuming the team lines up as named will require a different game plan to the mark and kick style we have been using. Really looking forward to both SPS and BB in the team with their pace and skill.

Happy with those changes, and BB needs to make the most of this......... otherwise you wouldn't think he'd be here next year.

He's earnt his spot, and best of luck to him.

Like these selections. SPS will be zipping around after a freshen up....I expect him to be back to Pies game level. Would love to see Boeky cement a spot. Nearly the best team we could field at the minute, minus big Sam but Liam looks like becoming an elite defender next couple of years IMHO....has all the tools and at 198cm

$3 plus underdogs like last week. Just the way we roll. Blues by 18 points.

Good luck to Blaine. Hopefully he can grab this chance with both hands, because it could be the last.

I can't think of 1 game this year where the 22 selected hasn't lined up as selected

Excellent. Happy to see Boeky get another go. I reckon there's a player in him. Just hope he can put it together before he runs out of time.

Has really stepped it up in the reserves. Deserves a chance too.

Was at the 50 year membership morning tea this morning. BB was asked about H and said he was very close.

What is this 50th of which you speak? I recall distinctly in 67 that my parents didn't let me go until midway through the season until we played Fitzroy for the second time. How come I don't get an invite?

I became a member for the first time as a 6 year old in '67 and have had a membership ever since. The morning tea for 50 years and over members started last year. I received my invite in the mail about a month ago. It was a great morning with around 250 people (you could bring one guest along). As well as Bolts there was a chat from Trigg. Guests of honour were Big Nick, Geoff Southby and Ken Hands who were all very generous with their time.

Not fair.

I have been a Social club member; AFL club support member; and Club member since 1965 and don't get any recognition.

Except I have seen the Blues win eight premierships.

That's sweet enough reward (so have I :smoking: ). There were a few folks there that had seen Ten

But seriously I would get onto the club and state your case; they are really trying to build a relationship with the long term supporters.

Ten?
1945 and 1947?
Wow!

The clubs membership database not to put to finer point on it is flawed.

I found this out last year, when the club had me as a 17 year member, despite me being a member since 1979.

When I became a Full AFL Member in 1986 with a Carlton Club Support Membership, my continuity of membership vanished until the year 2000 for some reason and it was only that I was able to show the club my continual AFL Membership since 1986 that they recognised my time as a member, eventually the club accepted a Statutory Declaration of my time as a member from 1979 to 1986.

same here a few years ago my membership said i was i think 12 year member, i called and said i been a member since jezza was still playing, they said database didnt go back that far and if i have reciepts as proof, i said my father is no longer with us and i doubt he stashed away reciepts since 1979. i pleaded my case and it was all fixed.

I've bounced around... a few years back I got a two year membership badge then the following year I got a twenty year one... Gee how time flies

(I'm sure it was the fact that I purchased reserved seats had me in there twice)

Go you good things

Pace and run will be very important in this game. Its an area we are thankfully improving in.Gotta improve in our clearance work................but i reckon we have to be cleaner and less fumbly with our ball handling. Our fumbling is creating too many turnovers.Reckon we are up against it up there but despite being underdogs we can deliver.................Good luck to Boeky.Must admit i aint a fan but i reckon he has deserved his spot on good consistent VFL form.I like workers and i reckon he has been working his guts out correcting his deficiencies.Credit where its due.

Pace.

Jones > Rowe
Boekhurst > Sumner
SPS > Everyone...just give him the @#$%&! thing.

WE can win this.
Hopefully pace gives us more goals.
Our defensive game is good when its on for 4 quarters.

Boeky needs a good game to get the monkey off his back..
I'm a fan, so I hope the whole team plays well along with him.
Can't do it alone.

Cripps and Gibbs on the inside would do it you'd think.

Sumner is quite quick the first 10m, but Boeky faster for longer ? Liam resurrected last week....Boeky this week
