Plenty of positives from the last three quarters. Great signs from some of the young guys.

Plenty to take out of that effort, both good and bad.

Young guys have earned a week off.

Pros:

Fightback.
Accuracy.
Gibbs, Cripps and Kreuzer after the first quarter and a half.
Simmo and COS.
Cuningham and Charlie.
Casboult was pretty good.

Cons:

Insipid start. Didn't seem to want to tackle until the 2nd half of the 2nd quarter.
We've got to do something about those centre clearances. Teams get completely on top of us there for periods of the game, and score at ease. It'd obviously be nice to dominate, but can we at least defend or nullify better?
The umpiring early again had a significant impact.
We had a fair few non-contributors: SOJ, MacReadie, Sumner, etc.
Needed more from Murph and Ed to get across the line.

I was at the game behind the bench, Silvagni was injured and fisher was terrific, never been less disappointed after a loss

Great, gutsy comeback but it was our own fault we ran out of puff after that start. If we held on it would've been our 2nd biggest comeback ever.

Reckon we were one key forward light. A number of times we could've gone into an open 50 but lacked a tall bloke to go one on one. Hence we chipped it in and mucked it up a few times. An extra tall forward might've got us over the line.

Bolton coached the pants off Scott to get us back in the game.
Just ran out of legs in the end.
As a supporter can't be too disappointed with that.

Fisher earnt his spot with quality VFL form. After injury he is entitled to return without a VFL stint. He was quiet today.

Silvani has played from the first game after obviously earning his spot in preseason. I probably agree it's a tough call to say he is definitely doing enough to hold his spot. He's not playing badly but I'm not convinced anybody in the forward line in the 2's has done enough to replace him.
