Another tough assignment ahead. Port are looking very sharp at the moment. Cripps and Weiters need a breather. |

We'll be competitive in the first half before falling away Hinkley and co will work out which players to run into the ground and a strategy of getting our defenders one out. No brain surgery required. Hopefully we can be competitive for +75% of the match. Watching tonight it's there but it's not ready. |

Too early for Sheehan? Would love his left boot out of defence. |

Wouldn't surprise me if Cripps and Weitering are given a week off... Jaksch/McKay and Polsen/Gallucci in? |

We've won three of our last five games against Port (including the last two), and our cohesion as a team is improving by the week. They will be favourites, but I like how we're progressing. Blues by two goals. |

think macreadie could do with a rest to heal that calf, but it may do more harm than good for his confidence after that horror of an error, keep him in to show faith could do with mckay or jaksch as a tall forward if weitering doesnt play drop daisy. i dont care if we play 1 short, just dont play him. i see no god reason for him to be in the side, unless it is for a lower ladder position keep playing williamson and fisher |

The good news is we do have a few in the magoos who can step up but it will depend on what the objectives are this week . They will be weighing up getting the 4 points , development of newbies and workloads. Yesterday we saw that a fit team that's prepared to run for 4/4 will likely get us in the end because we can't do that. Port can do that but nowhere near as well as GC. If we go in with another new kid or two this week I think we'll be up against it. I'm ok with that because TBH seeing Fisher run around yesterday was almost as good as getting the points. |

I'm starting to defend Daisy a bit these days but I can't help but think how much better it would be if all those kicks he gets were being taken by Sheehan. Range goes from 40m and a big chance of the target being missed to 60m and Pickett or someone not having to break stride at full pace. |

Need more run, especially through the middle. Thomas has given us nothing for years and this year it's been exasperated even more by our game plan. Must go as we cannot afford to play with 21 men vs 22 every week. White is the other. If we play Macreade, Marchbank, Plowman and Rowe back (which we must and should), he causes us being to top heavy and slow. Need some additional run again.....so Buckley, Polson, Cunningham, Sheehan or Sumner must come in for these 2. Ps. I know we are losing and I never thought I would say this but I love watching these kids grow and develop, especially when they show that they can play!!! We need to keep playing them together!!! |

If we want to be more competitive they should pick the ones with the most pre-seasons in them. If development is the main priority then it will be another kid but don't get shitty when he can't Run out the game or blame the senior players for not being able to cover for them, opposition teams know how to grind teams with a lot of kids. |

I know that one of Bolton's mantras is that players need to "endure" but please, if Cripps and Weitering are as bruised and battered as what they looked like last night then give them the necessary rest. |

If we are fair dinkum that'll be the end of Thomas. His kicking is becoming a joke. Polson is the next wonder kid who should come into the side. |

Polson could come in but I wouldn't have thought it would be for Thomas. Sheehan or Buckley maybe. Polson might come in for one of the other kids. |

Or if Smedts has worked out whatever he was dropped for (rumour that the MC were not happy with some of his contested work) he could come in. There's no comparison between his ability to run annd kick and Thomas. |
