You mean Dustin Martin isn't a shoo-in for the Brownlow, the Allan Border medal and the Nobel Peace prize? Well now I don't know what to believe.

Most impassive I've ever been watching Carlton. Lots to like though, some really good foundations...

Keep Weitering forward.
Marchbank will be a beauty - just needs to improve decision making.
SPS will be better for the run - you can see he has the tricks.
I think we should have selected Kerridge - not that it would have changed the final outcome.

Was anyone ever on Martin ?

Too many talls. Cripps not at his best which isn't surprising.

3 or 4 defenders spoiling each other; punching when in space. Once again too many blazing away when winning the ball in close.

Silvagni, Kreuzer, Murphy, Weitering, Wright excellent.

Marchbank, Plowman, Smedts encouraging.

SPS a good start, not surprising he faded in the 2nd half.

Martin had a good game but he was overpowering several first gamer teenagers. That last goal was with Macreadie on him. So keep it in perspective.

I've always tolerated White and Rowe despite the knockers but they were terrible.

Lots and lots of other great signs from a lot of the kids which had me smiling though.

We're playing a new offensive game. Struggled with it especially in the first half, and we forgot that you still have to apply defensive pressure. Got it together in the 3rd qtr more. We have a fair number of players who are certainly good individually but as a functional unit we're still quite a bit off. If we're are going to be a good offensive side we must move the ball quickly to create one-on-one's. If we do the likes of Weitering, SOJ, even Levi and the smalls will do the job. We have good forward but the players up the ground make them look bad.

We don't need to play Thomas and White. Kreuzer shown to be a much better player when he owns the first ruck role. Casboult's rucking has improved out of sight, just wish he had done more in the first half around the ground as he really stunk it up. 2nd half alot better but liked his ruckwork. He had his confidence shot last year. Marchbank a gun, Weitering a gun, SOJ good, will be a gun. Petrvski-Seton looks a player, just got tired, as does Macreadie. Pickett could be exciting.

One less tall in defence, more runners.

Went about how you would have expected had you been realistic. The hope was the Tigers implode but they actually look pretty well organised.
Casboult and Thomas gave us nothing and the kids Macreadie, SPS,Pickett, C.Curnow and JSOS were only involved in bits n pieces.

White and Rowe still error prone and Marchbank was rusty with the ball.

This is how it goes this year. Kick back and enjoy the ride.

Our defenders did a number of reverse-Doulls - I can remember 2-3 that resulted in goals

The Cliche kid has his work cut out.
Daisy is done
Casboult still no better than 4 years ago
SOS junior tries hard but lacks strength
Ed Curnow busts his arse but turns it over to much
Plow and Marchbank impressive
Armfield is done
SPS and Pickett will get there
Simmo Gibbs Murph Doc always consistent but not game breakers
Kruez was good
Young Curnow struggled
Macreadie will get better
Weiters is a genuine star
Wright contributes well
Cripps a tad quiet must have been Kerridge jumper
Rowe is Rowe and White was White never be great but foot soldiers
Smedts not enough.

Turnover kings
Their kicking lacks penetration

Bite the bullet
Drop Daisy Armfield Casboult
Bring in Palmer Cunningham and Mackay or KJ

Results wont change

Marchbank's marking is terrific. Silvagni always uses the ball well.
Weitering kicked 3 despite being lame the whole night, will be great to see his battles with Rance in the upcoming years.

We were just a little off all night, slightly missing the target with the handball, meaning the receiver has to reach for it and steady before disposing which means the tackler applies pressure which results in a poor disposal.

It takes just a little bit of sharpness to improve the whole result.

Unfortunately we have a side of people who either know what they should do but can't do it, complemented by a bunch of kids who have talent but aren't sure what to do yet.

It will be a tough year.

I think Cassbolt OK. Kicked well. Marked a few. Dropped a couple. Created two contests when it should have been a very easy mark to the Tigers. Rucked well as the backup.

Thomas, Rowe and White I agree with.
