Midfield will be a lot better because the skipper is back and add Palmer, SPS and maybe Fish too

Expect a lot of fade outs this year. - more so as the year progresses

Cripps no preseason
Murphy a year older
Gibbs tick
Kerridge, Curnow and Palmer are second stringers
Fisher, SPS, Cunningham are kids

I think you'll find that almost every player is a year older.

Gibbs could also star like he did in 2014 and 2016 - still don't get this crap - do these people actually go and watch the games - the guy has been an excellent footballer for the blues since he was 17 years old - durable - can play multiple positions and has - can extract can play outside - in my view one of our best 3 players and has been for the past 3 years

it goes along the lines of the continual attack over the years of houlihan whitnall and now Gibbs - all 200 games players - not elite probably but damn fine footballers le- we would have been better over the last 20 years if we had more of these players

Yeah, you won't see the good clubs allowing that to happen

I blame the board for not investing in cryogenics or a time machine, what a tin pot operation are we? :)

They may have invested in cryogenics, we wont know for another 200 years or so until the scientists work out how to revive dead people and rejuvenate their elderly bodies back to a youthful state! Time machine?? They have a hot tub!

How do you know they didn't actually already do it 200 years ago, and we're seeing G the results of the first experiments.

"Hmm, OK, time to wake that Daisy up".
"How's he looking? "
" Yeah nah... Not really bad, but that anti-aging formula still needs some tinkering "
" Well, shit, it worked OK for that Rice bloke. "
" Yeah, but remember we used all that illegal shit back then. "
" Oh, that's right. Can't we still do that? "
" No. You don't remember? We dumped that truckload on Napier Street. Nek minnit, it had disappeared. Who the flock knows what happened to it... "

There's options as small forwards as well, so in which case, when it comes to another option in the midfield, you can't go wrong with Wright.

Don't forget Cameron Polson. I think he could turn into a good player through the middle and off half back

Post subject:  Re: stronger midfield?

Assuming our first pick is 1 or 2 this year, it'd be good if we could somehow turn that into a few inside the top 10, and we could have a similar draft to GC last year where they basically rebuilt a new midfield in one go. Tough ask without a second round pick, but hopefully Hawthorn can help us out like we helped them out last year.

The core is,
Murphy, Gibbs and Cripps.
With the kids,
SPS, Fisher and Cuningham still finding there feet (so to speak),
Players like,
Palmer and Smedts will help fill the holes whilst the kids above find there feet..
Still at least three or four mids short.
After years of below average drafting I believe we are on the right track.

Ed Curnow says hi

So does his brother Charlie..

Our midfield will be good when you don't see Kerridge and Ed Curnows names listed
