Thank goodness for our list manager Andy McKay.

Keep pick 3 for Rayner and send whatever we get for Gibbs to GWS for Kelly. Kennedy trade with pick 38 and we take on their salary cap dump for Griffen same as we did last year with Rhys Palmer. Instant midfield rebuild, younger age profile and the Northern Blues get another Journeyman leader.

1) Rayner will be gone by pick 3

Other than that, I like it

Gone at pick 2.

Bayley Fritsch has a heap of talent. That in-between size unfortunately but freakish ability.

Heres an article on him from earlier this year.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/loca ... 25ff9212fa

I watched him play a couple of games in 2014. He dropped back to EFL under 19s footy after being the leading goal kicker in the senior comp. He was only 17 but he was standing on heads taking huge marks. The only question I had on him was workrate and a question on his attitude. If he has that up to speed, he could be a chance.

Think he'll go before rookie picks in a poor draft. He's AFL list worthy, in the sense that his skillset marginally translates better to AFL than that of Gallucci/Brett Eddy. Poor man's Luke Breust. Sam Lloyd maybe better comparison. Good set of hands, awkward size to match up on and he's quick. Beyond that, question marks on his kicking for goal, forward line pressure and whether he can pinch hit in a midfield rotation effectively.

If you look at other teams lists they're pretty average, so all you need is 22 players in the seniors each week who can contribute something which doesn't always have to be that highly skilled or spectacular. You can win a premiership these days playing scrappy unskilled footy... as long as it's less so than your opponent.
Durability is especially a key ...and if you can manage to get a couple of straight shooters up in your forward half, you're in the hunt.

Some midfielders might help too.

Not sure I'm happy about that.... If true.

Won't come cheap and not as good as he thinks he is...

What if it wasn't just 'a package' but The Package? Wowee, that would be exciting

Fortunately it has been reported that the Drug Cheats* are interested...

Makes sense, they are quite used to receiving dodgy packages.

No idea if we are seriously looking at him but I'm open to the idea. He's about to enter the prime of his playing career after a rough year where he broke up with the bride and was therefore separated from his kids. I can see him fitting nicely into our developing forward line as a foil to Bolt and Harry.

I don't know much about him though so I'm interested in why people are a bit cold on the idea?

The Dogs aren't in a position to ask for overs considering they admit they want him gone so keen competition for him from too many is the only thing to drive the price up.
