Whilst I certainly dont condone this type of behaviour, why is it always solely the guys fault when this happens. Surely it takes two to tango- so to speak, and there is typically always a willing participant to enable this to happen in the first place. Are footballers held to a different standard just because they are playing in a team sport?

Well...Carlton have to agree to the Crows offer. It has to be favourable.
We will get something good for Gibbs in the shape of another elite midfielder or 2 or he stays.

Adding Rockliff as a FA is great news. We keep our picks.
He's an inside midfield bull.
Ed Curnow would tag and take on the likes of Dustin Martin types.

Rockliff would be perfect by the side of Cripps, and Ed, winning hardball territory at ruck contests, and dishing it out to outside runners:
We need outside runners like Kelly, hoping Pick 3 can do that role.
Nevertheless, we have Murphy, Docherty, Pickett, Fisher, Cuningham, SPS, Boekhurst, maybe Polson too for outside run.

Then there's Charlie who will do more midfield work too.
I'm hoping (a romantic thought) Silvagni builds his engine over preseason and and has stints as a ruck rover like his grandad Sergio.

Suddenly with the addition of Rockliff, and Pick 3, and the return of Cripps and Ed, the midfield looks strong.

Next year we may snag a Lynch/ other FA....as a destination club with a rich history, its all probable.

Two years down the track we might add Kelly if he's off the table this year.

Not laying the blame, agreed it takes two to tango. But the woman involved is not on our radar for recruitment, and *if* he is, one has to ask whether we want someone capable of this within the playing group. Takes a special kind of "bloke" to bang the ex (or current) partner of a friend / team mate. Blots is building a team that has each other's back on field, and that should extend through to life off the field too.

Unfortunate typo.

Didn't the players concerned come out publicly to rubbish the rumours?
I seem to remember they refuted the reports...

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.

No interest in Rockliff.
Not sure why some people are so keen?

I'm happy to trade Gibbs IF we can get a couple of great young kids / high picks.
And I'm happy to keep Gibbs to help Murphy usher in this young crop of future Carlton Premiership players, if the deal is not right up there.
But I'm certainly not keen to get in another older player who is unlikely to be there in 3-5yrs when the whips are cracking?

If Rockliff came at a reasonable price as a free agent I would add him for depth. Players who find the ball 30+ times a game and use it like he does don't grow on trees. 28 in Feb next year. 3 year contact, maybe front loaded a tad as we have money now?

Thomas goes after another 1 so I think Rocky is a good replacement.

if he comes on a two year deal with options of an extension and a good attitude that would be good
the only thing i disagree on caz is , bye bye daisy
he doesn't add anything, a couple of average games at seasons end
take a shot at some kids at the end of the draft for hardly any monetary risk and we might just get something back if they work hard enough and want it enough

Given the Lions have beaten us 5 out of the last 6, l would do the above purely to give us a chance against them next time
