Worst day at the football ever. We were gone 10 minutes into the first quarter when Wallis flattened Hanna off the ball and not one single Carlton player remonstrated

Not going to argue if he was pushed or had the ball punched but I reckon he held it long enough to be awarded the mark. Yeah I was there along with all the other great CFC moments. of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. :smile:

70 was the game my older brother left in disgust at half time. He got home half way through the last quarter put the radio on and taped Harry Beitzel and especially Jezza's goal.

Who was the flowering umpire who picked up SOS's fingers in the goal square after they were severed when he touched Michael Longs kick in the 1993 Grand Final. No doubt related to the umpire who missed the fingers of Simon Wiggins smashing into the ball in that game against Geelong in 2002.

And '93 and Diesel's Brownlow. It should be taken off the Essendon*** good ordinary player and given retrospectively to the rightful owner. The AFL has investigations in to everything else, why not that. Also, J. Russo is a lawyer I believe. Need to be a fit and proper person. One of good character. This example alone disqualifies him. IMHO.
