I along with a few other posters have bagged the shit out of this club for the past 10 years why
The one man saviour philosophy
Living on past glories
Handed jobs to afl icons without a proper process
Quick fixes
Poor recruiting and trades
Now I ain't blaming sticks for everything but since his leaving have things improved
I'm 53 worked many jobs
Once simple fact
The most important fact is if the boss is shit the workplace will be shit
If the boss is good the workplace will be good
Our president may not be the best in front of a camera but old Marky knows what he is doing and isn't refreshing to see
And another thing I've learnt is success comes from the most unlikely sources

Let's be honest Bolton doesn't fit the old Carlton head coaching mould
He looks more suited to delivering newspapers from a school bag
But that all changes when you see his body language tone of voice and how he speaks
He speaks directly in a succint manner he cares for people

Compare that to Malthouse the total opposite
And yet Bolton is on under half on what Malthouse got and can only be paid out a month after he is sacked
Ironic hey
But that's life
Bolton was the correct appointment but the club had a proper review process with an astute varied panel
Silvangi has returned since sticks has left and are recruiting has improved 200%

We are back
Sure we will have some bad games. That will happen with such a long intense season but finally after years of keystone cops where getting it right

One guy I have been bagging the shit out of for a long time is Bryce Gibbs
Obviously a very talented player his lack of intensity and selfishness has frustrated the hell out of me
To see him assume the onfield leadership on Sunday after Murph went down was fantastic
To seem give White a hug after another effort to keep the ball in our forward nearly brought a tear to the eye
I guarantee you that Guys of Gibbs experience at Carlton will be saying to one another
Is this what should happen at a footy club
I can tell you whether it's at the game or in front of the box it's great to scream like a delinquent
Once again
Ive got the passion back cause I know where on the right path
Go blues

Well said Keogh. Don't always agree with your posts, but you are spot on this time. :-)

Good for you Keogh.
A poor coach blames his players. More obvious every week. The cast offs stick it up MM by shining in new clubs for the most part.

Loving the positive from you keogh.

Reckon you can run a seminar or a workshop for Synbad, Doc Sherrin and Rhys26?

Think Agro and spawn should be on that seminar list too.

Keogh is simply stating that the last 10 years or so we've been shit.

All Synbad, Doc Sherrin, Rhys, myself and a few others have been doing is pointing this out, and wanting us to get better and not to accept mediocrity.

Aside what others think I'm enjoying this current period - I hope it is the foundation and building block of a great new era for the club.

Trigg started all this ...... Swann was the disaster before hand.
I don't give a toss about any of that though. We have a lot of ground to make up and must not get this 'reset' wrong. So far so good and certainly looks like we have learnt what is needed and are on the right track (finally), but long way to go yet!

Amusing that on field improvement automatically translates to a better functioning board.

We sure are on the right path, but we must not let this unexpected spate of wins change our direction.
We must stick to our plan, and see it through.
One good thing though, is the better we play, the more it is giving our players better currency come trade time.
SOS would be loving it!!!

Love the thread title Keogh.

I can't concentrate on work this week because of the euphoria Carlton Circa 2016 has created for me too.

Mick Malthouse robbed Carlton of $3M plus: Simple case of fraud.

All Judd could say about last year without saying too much about MM's style impact was that it was a bit messy.

We are back!

Bulltish. Synbad has gone waaaaay past that. To the point where he has repeatedly said that our club is unfixable. Where is the little sniper? He has gone quiet .

A better functioning board will be mainly assisted by having a much smaller board, reckon it can reduce another 2 but there is still a helluva lot a work to do. Also, it's not without saying that there's now a process to get onto the board....you have skills, and they match to needs then you'll get on. Been no faction topping up since the process was implemented. Can only be a good thing.

Debate, decide, deliver

Clearly they debated like mofos, when it came to deciding it probably had caveats which made the delivery a shit sandwich.

Long, long way out of the woods....only disappointing thing this season has been self entitled supporters not signing up and being unable to get majority of draftees on the park to develop as we would like. Best part though, they'll be developing their overall skills as a whole off the field, looking and listening to Bolton you can be 100% assured of that

He's not little.
He is KPF size.
Played for Prahran.
Knows a bit about the game.
Does lead with his jaw at times.
Like all humans, doesn't get it right every time.

He did want Kerridge many years ago. Didn't want Cripps.

First Keogh, now I expect Synbad to begin singing the boards praises.

Sticks leaving
Silvangi returning
Is that a coincidence

Sticks comes across as a good bloke but he is a classic case of the club icon syndrome
Should of had nothing to do with the club from an admin point of view
At least he didn't cause as much drama as Hird
Everything Swann has had to do with in the last 5 years has turned to shit
Bottom line you can see the people at the top want success but are prepared to do it with the proper base
No quick fixes
It's like a good Pizza
A good base does wonders
And it ain't about one or two heroes anymore
It ain't rocket science but it's amazing how us humans continue to @#$%&! up the easy
Have a look at the main political parties if you don't believe me
You can't get anywhere with guys like Sticks as president
