For the record I never said Keogh should stay away.
Let's embrace the wins and stick fat through the tough times

Think people like Keogh have a right to have been pissed at our club at times and rightfully proud right now at the fight and the desire our players are showing..

I'm stoked and excited at our development. There is something here to work with also for the long term. Next couple of years just need to bridge the age profile but through drafting and trading for under 25s will set us up.

We will attract other talent to come play for the Carlton footy club..

My counter argument here would be that even those who were pissed at the club, but who didn't dismantle it brick by brick, day in day out, minute by minute, post by post, have equally as much reason to be proud of the Club's last 6 weeks at the moment.

Do the posters who said Carlton was Shite, from top to bottom, over and over, now become more entitled than the rest of us to bask in the current improvement. Are they more entitled to do so, than those who knew we were shite but who chose not to go on and on and on and on about it.

But as quick as those few that said were were shite, were to jump back on, they will jump back off again as soon as the wheels fall off. Like Death and Taxes it is inevitable. As soon as Gibbs has an off game! As soon as Rowe has 5 kicked on him! As soon as White has a few clangers! They will be back to what they do best. Sniping and gouging all and sundry. Taking cheap shots are the easiest thing in the world.

Give me the sugarcoaters any day. At least they are 100% consistent.

Hi,

I rarely post, it's been quite a negative place here to be honest. I read people's thoughts on here daily though. Like most of you, I held hope in Mr Bolton and his philosophy. I held hope that in a few years we would compete, grow a list and in about five years, contend.

I was wrong. I was wrong about our list, I was wrong about our administration and I was wrong about how profound a modern coach could change our clubs appetite for success.

It's @#$%&! incredible. I have jumped around at home (USA) and actually cried with joy. For the first time in two decades, we are playing like the club I grew up adoring. It's stunning. I watch and read every second about Carlton possible. It's beautiful!

Thank you BB! I'm in love again!

I'll jump on board anything that puts navy blue on...I stuck up for Malthouse FFS. Lucky I've developed decent enough insight during my time at TC to understand that I am just a fan with perhaps a little more knowledge and passion than some others...however! my blinkers are definitely on when it comes to my Blue Baggers.

I am so attracted to Bolton right now....I even dreamt about the little pocket rocket the other night....errr not in that way, but anyway! I just love his little strut after a win and it seems the players are buying in just as much as the supporters do week in week out and that's the most exciting thing of all...to know that each week these guys feel passion and unity towards the club...just like I have for 30 years. It actually feels like we are united again.... I feel like I belong and I am starting to allow myself to feel pride again. It's marvelous..... Marvelous!

I've had inbox's from a couple of mates saying if they didn't support their own clubs they would sincerely think about jumping on the blues bandwagon...Bolton has so much respect from the AFL community...it really feels like something special...ahhhhh :smoking:

Cazzeman

I loved the club for 45 years. And I won't be jumping off when we have a bad game or when Gibbs stinks it up in the foreseeable future.
I was on board when Kernahan left and Lo Giudice drove the need to have an independent panel to go through an exhaustive process to get the right man to coach us. This process should have been going on 20 years ago.
The panel was carefully selected. I loved the fact that Postecoglu was on the panel. A guy who has built a team of elite athletes from scratch. And Judd had seen firsthand knowledge on how [REDACTED] the club was
This wouldn't have happened if the old Carlton had been still around but sticks and co could have learned from their mistakes rather than be arrogant .Those mistakes were Pagan and Ratten. No interview process there. And despite this they went and got a yesterday man, paid him 3 million with no
Thought or process to see what else was out there

I stopped being a member from that point on because clearly the club was dysfunctional, inept and I wasn't putting my hard earned into the club.
And apologies to Tommi here but I was right. Malthouse was a huge mistake but it should have never happened in the first place giving the previous dozen years.

Anyway to answer your question. No I'm not a member. I chucked in teaching four years ago. I'm a personal trainer at Deakin Uni down here in Geelong working weekends and I also wrap and deliver newspapers which is a night shift job with the weekend being the busy time so it is near impossible for me to get to games. My partner and I will be attending Saturdys game and purchasing a 3 game membership.

Now when are you Tommi and King Kernahan going to give an answer to having a beer
We all are different but share the love of the club.
Yes or no?

I don't give a toss about any of that though. We have a lot of ground to make up and must not get this 'reset' wrong. So far so good and certainly looks like we have learnt what is needed and are on the right track (finally), but long way to go yet!

Bulltish. Synbad has gone waaaaay past that. To the point where he has repeatedly said that our club is unfixable. Where is the little sniper? He has gone quiet .

The clubs not fixed yet, a bit of on field success is nice but let's not all start counting chickens (or premierships after 16) just yet.

Thats a hell of a long way from "its unfixable"

It's only human nature we would all be guttered about finish last in 2015, and likewise be rapted by the improvement this year. Use wouldn't be human otherwise. Bolton has shown his a good coach and his got the players singing from the same rooftop. Go blues!

Good post CM.

I wish we'd all take Bolts' advice and not get too high when we win or too low when we lose.

10 games into a 66 game process.
