I really love watching Byrne, Lamb and Wright. Great inclusions. Phillips was better with his marking today Thomas had his best game for us. Gibbs I thought was better, easily his best for the season. I thought both teams were trying to not lose rather than trying to win in the first half. That together with the wind made it look poor. Once the wind dropped it opened up a bit. We've come a long, long way. As grro mentioned our defensive setup is fantastic, it has been all season. @#$%&! its nice just to beat these cheating pricks. |

Team defence is great. Unbelievable how much running our boys do defensively. Credit to Bolton. He has the boys caring. We also showed with our 3 goals streak in the last that we can also play risky play on footy. Once we are fit enough to continue our defensive plan and bring more of our running game we will be hot. When we get a forward line of goal kickers and we have a flag contender. You know...add a Waite Betts and a mature Garlett....not far away |

Structure is good, boys playing their role. Just hope we can get the forward set up going. It's not pretty.. But we won two in a row. |

We can beat collingwood if Cripps plays we are a lot better when he is in there. Hopefully JW gets up if not its KJ's time to shine. This is a game we would have lost in the past, wasnt pretty but still a step in the right direction. Bolts will be happy we endured |

Definitely an improvement, and also from Kreuzer, but a couple of points to consider in regards to both: - Essendon*'s KPD were Hartley, Ambrose and Gwilt, with Goddard in support - Late in the third quarter the hitouts to advantage count was 7-2 in Essendon*'s favour Still prefer Kreuzer everywhere except the centre bounce, but credit to Phillips for providing an aerial contest. Agree with all of this; Gibbs with 2 centre clearances in the last and relished being the main guy in the clinches after quarter time. |

Great to see Daisy emerge from the darkness. Same with Sumner. Phillips getting the hang of things. Same with Lamb. Matty Wrights steadiness is so valuable. Simmo a genuine leader today. Bolton will be better for todays experience as well. ![]() |
