Showed some fight in the last quarter and defensively played well, but attack is again our problem.

MVP voting is now open. http://www.talkingcarlton.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=35295

That's got to change next week. Casboult to defence and take Rowe's spot, Jaksch and Jones in after last night. Casboult plays alot better when he's away from goal. Noticed that tonight. Tempted to drop Krezuer and use Wood, as the former is looking cooked.

Do these Barrys with no hair really believe it's a better look to shave it all off?

Play the one without concrete hands.

Junk time positives can't be read into.

Promising signs again from our future. Weitering, Curnow, Plowman, Cripps, Byrne, Etc

Sumner can kick straight which is good but wasn't match fit. Needs to get involved a lot more.

Daisy although needs to back himself in front of goal dos use ball well upfield.

Rowe, Phillips, Kreuzer, Casboult are all liabilities. I'd drop 3 of them. Play Casboult as key ruck possibly to use his marking as an outlet.

Docherty plays hard and puts in everything but often turns it over is worst possible area. Similar to Simmo.

Gibbs will be traded for a decent pick in 6mths

Yes, Casboult goes well away from goes. If he could kick straight he be such an asset but his kicking becomes are liability. Such a fine line. Take him out of the forward line where we can use his best asset, his marking. In the ruck or defence.

There is no coming back from here.

The club is cooked.

We'll flog Curnow, Weitering and Cripps to death before we find another 18 decent players to support them.

They will be completely French Connection United Kingdom by the time that happens.

Captain @marcmurphy3 was physically ill at half-time. He has a gash on his head but he's not concussed. #BoundByBlue

I'd rather pick the talls first and cop the pain now. Easier to draft/develop the mids later.

Nick "Concrete Boots" Graham is a prime example.

We won the last because they were down to about 18 who could take the field. Despite that, they were still running it out of the backline with ease, only to get thwarted further afield by our defence.

Positives:
Weitering is a gun. Extend his contract for four years tomorrow.
C, Curnow is playing with a bit of confidence
Plowman can play and will be good if tonight's cameo is any indication.
Sumner likewise.
Docherty went hard all night and finished strongly. He is a good solid player and will get better as we do.
Phillips started to play reasonable footy after half time but he is ordinary below his knees.
Cripps was quiet but worked his way into it. He gets mauled at the stoppages but he will have to find a way to get over it.
Buckley put in everything. That dropped mark at the end wasn't too flash but he did try and run a few times and his defensive pressure is good.
They could have just let the Dogs run away with it after half time but to their credit, they didn't. It isn't their fault there were injuries to the opposition.
It gives them momentum going in to next week, which we will win.

Negatives (just the main ones):
Our senior players are the ones letting us down when we most need them. If Jamo can be dropped, so can Gibbs, Kreuzer and Rowe
Murphy won't come up for next week so Gibbs gets to run around looking like a ponce again, choosing when to go and when to show us how good he could be if he gave a shit.
We have no forward structure and don't look like we will have one any time soon.
Our rucks have no idea how to tap the ball. I harped on about it last week but Kreuzer's best three taps tonight, the only three really clean hitouts went to Dogs players. The one in the third to Stringer on the burst was an absolute pearl of a hitout. He didn't even have to break stride. Phillips is no better.
We have no idea how to defend against teams that run the footy from the back line. There is something wrong with the press if holes appear every time somebody puts the ball under his arm and runs the full measure with it.
I never talk about the umpires but there were a couple of inconsistencies in the game. I had the feeling that every time we looked like getting something moving, we were pinged.
Oh! Worst game Touhy has played for about four years.

I was in shock at half time at our piss poor effort but by the end of the game I had recovered somewhat. If there is one positive that is more positive than he other positives, it is that the boys didn't do what they have done for the last few years and throw in the towel. Even Gibbs got a few meaningless touches.

Negatives
First half
Skills
Effort first half
Worst forward line in AFL History
