Good endeavour. We know where we are at. I was hoping for less than 10 goal loss but close. Sydney's not just fast they are skilled and super fit. |

Need more from our rucks. Tippett and Sinclair murdered us around the ground Kreuzer/Phillips combined for 9 disposals 1 goal Tippett/Sinclair combined for 33 disposal 7 goals I think wood provided a lot more than Phillips has. |

This, although we have to persevere with Phillips. At least he's still young. Kreuzer should be at his peak. For me, Kreuzer is still the issue. He runs around and bullocks and does the in and under work but is not a tap ruckman, hardly marks around the ground and can't play anywhere else. Frustrating. Sydney has the best midfield in the comp and it is younger than ours. No #1 picks but hard workers who know how to get the ball clear. They got the better of Cripps tonight, even though he was the best of ours. The result is a reflection of where the two sides are on the ladder. The good thing is that they didn't fold in the last and get beaten by 100, which would have happened in the past couple of years. Plus we hit the post four times. One barely touched the paint. Stupid rule. Part of the process. We are going to lose a lot of games this year but they didn't toss in the towel. |

I haven't watched the game yet Hibbo but looking through the stats and what you have pointed out that's just not good enough. I must say I have been expecting more from Kruez. |

Kreuzer had a great preseason game against Sydney. It made me almost believe again. But has only just been going the last 2 weeks. I guess at least he's got on the scoreboard. |

Casboult is actually the best 2nd ruck we have. Not for his tapouts, as that's certainly not a strength, but will mark alot around the ground. When he's rucking he's a nice "get out" for our defence as he often marks it on the wing. Once his hands are on the ball it helps his confidence alot when he's up forward. Not as good when he's stuck forward all day as he seems to get himself lost. Plus Kreuzer is by far at his best when he rucks most of the day and doesn't share. Never anywhere near as good when sharing with another ruckman. There's a win/win there and it's been our best combination for quite a while. |

Pros: Thomas, Wright, Docherty. C. Curnow. Rowe and White were pretty good. Thought Gibbs had a decent 2nd half. Casboult's goalkicking. In fact, I thought our goalkicking was pretty good. Pity about the 4 posters. Cons: Got smashed in the clearances. Couldn't or didn't apply enough defensive pressure. I'm losing patience with Everitt's unwillingness to contest the ball in the air. Wants to play as a small forward. Surely that can't be his directions from the MC. |

just returned: as I said last week - its all about out with the old in with the new jamison simpson white rowe everitt gibbs - he is trade bait material - if get a 1st round for him do it sos thomas kruzer all need to be exited out asap - these guys wont get better and wont be with a premiership still undecided about Broekhurst and Graham happy with charlie , but rest him regularly JW - superb - when everyone was losing their heads in the 3rd, JW has time and space marks in defence pauses then lace out foot pass. i just pray that we dont burn these young kids swans have a well driven team , superb list and a midfield endeavour was there but no basic skills that lets us down - so what this means is we need to migrate players out and draft in new talent as fast as possible with a new development program driven and funded by the board... |

Pros Curnow did ok. Lovely kicking skills which makes a nice change. Weittering played another solid game. Casboult kicking much much much better Daisy see casboult, also tackled very well and linked up well Played the game out. There was a time we would lay down and die and cop a 100 point smashing. Quick ball movement when it works looks awesome Cons In general, smashed in the ruck and clearances They targetted Cripps and we stuggled at the stoppages I love simmo but way too many shocker turnovers Rowe is just too slow and poor decison making Everritt did absolutely zero. Two shockers in a row from him. He must be dropped next week. Our quick ball movement when it gets shut down like the swans did looks terrible and results in too many turnovers |

Pros: Kept fighting it out Another game for JW & first game for Charlie Nina is a hit! Cons: Tackles don't stick Getting next to nothing from our ruckman around the ground (did we really dominate the hitouts?) A few too many clangers by foot. 4.40 start is a hybrid time Captain Carlton is losing his spark! |

Beaten by a much better side. Cant question the effort just not good enough. Our midfield was smashed by one of the best midfields in the competition. Turnovers kill us and there were plenty of those. |

Just back from the game. Left the game heartened by the endeavour from most but we have a long way to go. Pros JW is all class, hard to believe he is just 18 Charlie had a taste and did ok. Good foot skills Levi kicked straight. Like Kerridge, a lot. Cripps is a beast but cannot beat three at a time. He is not a forward. Great endeavour and left heartened by the effort. Loved being at the footy. Boekhurst has some zip and will be a player. Cons Everett is a waste of space and while he is in the side we will not be making steps forward Lamb is a passenger Wright went missing Simmo's turnovers Thomas is just a battler Gibbs picks and chooses. When it is your turn to go, you go. He doesn't. Kruezer does not take enough marks around the ground. Phillips is a lump. Offers little. |
