Blues seeing red after drunken punch-up

New Carlton coach Brendon Bolton has already read the proverbial riot act to Smith, who was involved in a drunken fight last weekend in the Chapel Street precinct. He is facing disciplinary action from the club.

Police attended the incident, but the club indicated no charges have yet been laid against any party. The impression, at this stage, is that Smith came off second best in the fight though he sustained no significant injuries and has been training this week.

He's definitely responded on the training track, but wow. Not a great addition to this new era.

I would have been surprised if he survived the end of this year and now even more so.

Hope this is a wakeup call for him and he proves me wrong.

So he even lost the fight?

Hoppefully it's not in the same category as threatening the life of a female; I've been ribbing all of the Richmond fans about their best player being out for 2016.

I'll probably get called racist, but how on earth a recruiter could know this kids background and upbringing and think that he'll slot in nicely to life in Melbourne is beyond me.
