I think we'll get Richmond, Essendon** and Collingwood twice each. The other 2 teams we'll play twice will be 1 from the bottom 6 and one from the top 6.

My guess is that Essendon** will be one of the bottom 6 teams we'll get, while pies and tigers will be the 2 from the Middle 6.

My guess we will play the following twice;
Collingwood, Essendon**, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Port.

Port twice would be a disaster given they are probably going to jump up the ladder considerably. Give me teams on the slide.

I thought it was a 2-2-1 split. 2 bottom 6 teams twice, 2 Middle 6 teams twice, 1 top 6 team twice. Hence I'm thinking its *insert bottom 6 team, Essendon**, Collingwood, Richmond, *insert top 6 team.

Under the new model, the AFL ladder will be bracketed into three groups of six – simply 1-6, 7-12 and 13-18. To determine the five return or "double-up" fixtures for each club, a few straightforward restrictions are in place. Teams will be limited to a minimum of two and a maximum of three "double up" games against clubs in the same third of the ladder.

More interesting was the restriction that teams will be limited to no more than one return game against a team in the bracket at the "opposite" end of the ladder.
