It's only a wedding......

Going on statistics, he can go to his brother's next wedding in about 7.3 years!!!!! :D :D :D

I hope he plays, we will need him against a side like the Eagles. It's only a wedding he can watch a replay on Sunday.

No need for capitals, son. ;)

Personally, I'd prefer if he didn't play.

An acid test if there ever was one for Kade Simpson.

An acid test indeed for my boy Kade if Stevo didn't play.

However...

We are going to need everyone to be up and firing if we are going to win.
I expect the Eagles to bring out everyone bar Judd and Matera.
So that would mean bringing back Fletcher and Embley.
Two very good inclusions.

However, in saying that, if Kouta is going to play, who do we take out?

Perhaps Karl?

Agree :) - as much as footy is great, sometimes family does need to come first.

Would be a great test for the team to play the eagles minus stevens - perhaps kouta in for stevens

Doubt Kouta will play, again another I'd rather not play.

Give him a half in the Bullants I reckon.

Don't believe that either of the O'Hailpin boys have been on the field at the same time with the great man. Given that they are similiar body types, I think they could learn a lot from the great man on the field.

Seriously, it is only a game, but it is a grand final.

If he was my brother, i think i would want him at my wedding. (However, if he was my brother, his wedding wouldn't be scheduled during the footy season, even if it is only the wizzer cup)

I think we will win it anyways, and it would be nice to see Kade in for a whole game, he played so well on saturday night. And we could bring in someone else for a go, not sure who though!

I said I expect therefore it's an opinion.

Nick isn't just going to the wedding as a guest or brother of the groom. He's the best man as well.
Best man of your brothers wedding or play in a Wizard Cup GF?

Tough call.

I think I heard right when I heard one of the TCers say that Danny Stevens read last years WC schedule when planning the wedding around Nick playing in the WC.

Nick's brother has had 16 weeks from the beginning of September to have the wedding.

I really wont mind if he plays or not. But by god if he plays i will sorry for Wc because he will be pretty pumped up, and he will be wanting to justify missing the wedding.

It's a Grand Final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't lose grand finals.

Best team on the paddock, pre-season or not.

(and the extra $110k would help with the $11m odd loss!)

Go baggers!

Video link from church to Nick @ telstra dome @ half time for wedding with proxy to hand over ring. Fox footy on big screen plasma at reception. Perfect wedding. Bride will be talking about it for years... trust me, I know.

( PS... I missed playing in a game to be at my own first wedding... made the wrong choice that has haunted me for years. )

I went to my brothers wedding in November, he's not going to miss that, I got drunk, had a few photo's taken, made a dodgy speech and that was it. Stevens probably wouldn't get drunk anyway, gets his photo takebn heaps and can make a speech after we win.

7.29 tonight, the Age has St Nick as a "doubtful" starter:

I think they're just speculating. Read further:

Quote:
There should be more word on Monday on Stevens, who must decide between the grand final and best man duties on the same day at his brother's wedding outside Sydney.

When asked about Stevens, Pagan replied: "We haven't even spoken about it."

I'd also regard:
Quote:
Coach Denis Pagan said Koutoufides was "a pretty good chance" to return from a knee injury
as no better than 50:50.

Nick wont play. I am fairly well convinced.
His brother is a dick for getting married on a footy wekend. The following week is a week off for Christs sake.
Ther is a 50% chance this marriage wont last so the pain of missing his brothers wedding may not be permanant
