Taking a big mark over Dangerfield on the MCG is the perfect way to go out.

Champion.

A bit early to call imho. 12 months off and comes back midway through 2016 - who knows?

I don't want him to go out this way.

I posted during the summer break after Chris's first year with the blues

I had sat with his dad for dinner and spoke at length about how much he was enjoying being at the blues. His enthusiasm for Kruezer, Murphy and Gibbs was a delight.

Years on he has given his best in spades.......dragging us over the line on Occassion or at the very least providing a ray of hope or just a sense of greater professionalism.

I subsequently had the pleasure of meeting his mum and sister at their home..no bells and whistles.....just honest and real.

While I'll miss C Judd in no 5, he has done us proud.

One can argue whether or not it was a trade worthwhile.

What we can't argue is the personal effort and contribution he made in an attempt to leave us in a better place.

Thanks Juddy. You're family will be as proud as ever.

Deserves to be remembered for the champion footballer he was, and the champion man he is. Whatever the outcome of this injury he can hold head high in that he always gave his all, whether for the Eagles or the Blues. I am glad that he came to Carlton and provided some hope and the odd spot of glory for our team. All the best with the recovery Chris.

Thanks Juddy, it's been a pleasure watching you. Can't see him going on. I think he has had enough.

I'll never forget the 2010 elimination final, 2011 game in the pouring rain in sydney, (2011 year in general), 2013 elimination final. These are only the tip of the iceburg of the joy Chris Judd brought me in supporting the Carlton Football Club. My favourite player of all time.

Whatever happens, keep him at the club in some capacity. Bloody great player, and man in general.

Agreed, except he'd be a good chance to return at or close to the start of next season these days.

I truly hope he has the hunger and desire to try and get back,.

But if not, he has been the the highlight of watching Carlton for the last dozen or so years, legend.

Congratulations Chris.

To opposition supporters and the media he is a great player of the game.

To us he is someone who brought hope in dark times and gave me some of my best footy memories.

He doesn't deserve to go out like this.

The way he sat up in the stretcher on the way off......

Like he was saying goodbye.
