All they're doing is giving the media more ammunition.

Fight on the grounds of the pick 2 being the rule.

Don't damage the brand anymore than it already is

Carlton are far more deserving of a PP (but won't get one). At the very least this should neutralise Brisbane's whinging now. NIce to see some tactical nous coming out of Ikon at long last. Fox on Trigger, fox on! :smoking:

Do you reckon the pub opened early for him this morning or he took a hipflask to work with him?

They don't want both, they want another high pick and insurance that they won't be robbed of pick #1, hence the specific comparison to Brisbane by Trigg.

It could be the AFL behind this. They realised they ballsed it up last year with the Frawley pick. Now they want to do it the other way around as clubs will all start offloading/lowballing players that fit the band 1 compo precedent they set last year. If they keep it going in 3 years the first round of the draft will go to pick 30. CLubs are too onto it to miss an opportunity.
So the AFL might want to reverse it. Give us and Bris priority pick and then later picks with the compo.

They save face. They could even admit to making a mistake last year.

They lower the bar for priority picks but noone will really care about that.

The AFL made us put this to the press !!!

I love everything the club is doing at present
New coach , young players given a go , old assistant coaches leaving.

Its all good and going to be great

On another note this thread confirms Mark Robinson is an idiot

Will be renewing my membership for next year for sure...
Can not wait for us to be hated again
Keep up the great work Triggy and MLG

You watch the fat turd write a piece on how big bad Carlton is stealing the bread away from poor old Brisbane's mouths.

Neither here nor there on the PP (I guess it had to be done).

But gotta say I like "Bound by Blue". Simple, strong and unifying.

Well done Trigg.
Got to do what you've got to do to help the team within the rules.

As for Robbo, he will regret thinking that let alone writing it.

Melb got favouritism from AFL last year with pick 3 so they had 2&3, but no priority.
This year Bris & Carlton will be given special treatment with Kreuzer & Luenberger, but not priority.

Robbo has his Bombers hat on. They will need help too next year.

The priority pick guidelines are for teams like Carlton Brisbane and Melbourne.
GWS and GCS compromised drafts have given them enough, excessive amount.

Well done Trigg. Thus far

I think it's good tactics.
Also like the slogan.
Tangled Up In Blue also good.

Yeah we had no choice but to do this given the AFLs propensity to favour the northern states.

Im watching what Trigg does. No interest in what he says.

What a knob he is.
Great move by Carlton, wished they had also asked for financial assistance.
Every journo says that Carlton has the worst list so why souldnt we be helped along?

This. The focus on the future has been a refreshing change.

We have a great history, the envy of all others. But to be blunt, what kid starting Auskick would give the slightest two shits about what happened 30-40 years ago? They're much more likely to want to be the next Cripps.
