It appears that Bolton is building an impressive culture and this is a strength of his. The list is building in quality and skill. However, the next step is to find out how good is Bolton on game day. He has been hamstrung with injuries and unavailability so far, but CFC is getting to the stage now where we need to see some tangible evidence of improvement on game day.

This in spades.
We need more than Plan A so he can react or get the jump on the opposition coach.
We have a long history of coaches that stick to the system they went in with before the game.
Everybody knows a plan goes to shite as soon as the first man crosses the white line.

One of the greatest challenges for this year. Experience may be lacking but the infusion of McGovern and Newman (and hopefully Fasolo) will certainly help. The inclusion of Russell will have a significant impact as well.

Wow who’d have thought the AFL would put a puff piece like that on the AFL website, they must have dusted off an old Essendon* puff piece and changed the names.

Good things take time.

On and Off field we have reset.
This bloke Russell has his eyes on the prize and on every piece of the puzzle to get us their on field.

The fact we were attractive to Andrew Russell told me the plan and personnel at Carlton Football Club are working.

The club is in such good state it ihas become a centre of elite learning...and you reckon the coaches and players dont know that.

The 35 odd players we have accumulated over the last 4 years give us on field class and quality in abundance. 20 odd 1st rounders.
As long as Russell doesn't Laser our studs, they are all his. List will keep turning over, and getting better from now on.

Its great Bolton has loosened his grip and empowered some good coaches around him.
The more elite footy people we bring in to the club to do their part the better.
Seems like that's the plan.

Russell. Magic dust. #IBELIEVE

A silly line related on the recent horse scandal with the taser like prods the trainer gave studs in his control. I don't want Russell applying the same prodding with our studs at Carlton. Silly line. Sorry to concern you.

My enthusiasm is based on the huge improvement we've all seen in our boys over this summer, mentally and physically (thanks Mr Russell) AND we are about to enter the competition in the next phase of our development as a powerhouse again following our 66 game rebuild.

Yeah, I'm bullish too. One or two more years to cement the build then a decade or more of dominance.

@bondi

All good thanks.

I'm certainly on the Russell bandwagon. I have said it before on this site and I still stand by it, that he is our most valuable recruit for some time!

I too am positive about this season and expect improvment.

What concerns me however is that too much expectation will be aimed at players like Walsh in his first year (and other relatively new players). It seems to happen alot, hopefully we all can remain positive but also patient on such players development.
