I've been in Melbourne a lot in recent months including the last 2 weeks and loving it.

Positive Carlton articles everyday. Our club website best it's ever been and the commitment of the players outstanding.

One thing that stands out is the significance Boltons mantra and Master plan has had on the whole club. It's been turned on its head.

Teague refers to Boltons honesty how coaches feel important. It about the vibe Bolts has created.

Last night I met some older rusted on Carlton fans who are still shell shocked from the Elliot Pagan Mathouse era, so much so that they oblivious of the major changes on field and off field. They've lost their arrogance, confidence and belief.

There's no doubt in my mind we have the Renaissance well on its way but that inherent impatience from many supporters is still there.

I believe in the process of sticking to a plan.
I believe i will experience another Carlton Golden Era.
I believe Bluemans prediction of a young coach to lead us to the 17th Flag.
I believe Bolton will become a Legend of the Club.

Best Practise Bolton.
He's simply the Best...well ... we will be singing his praises for a long time ahead.

I'm so proud of everything Carlton circa 2017, not because of our ladder position but because everyone believes in Bolton, and the recruitment team have collated a list of players of great character, and desire to put this club back at the top of the ladder through hard work, commitment, honesty and loyalty to each other.

Super effort Bolts.

Merry Xmas TCers. :gift:

And to you BB. :gift:

Carlton have snared highly rated Sydney recruiting manager Michael Agresta as list manager to work underneath the club's chief recruiter Stephen Silvagni.

Agresta has worked at the Swans since 2011 alongside one of the game's most astute judges Kinnear Beatson, but took up the opportunity to work in a senior role at Carlton.

So if Michael Agrestal is going to be "list manager" what does that mean for the other guy we had (sorry his name escapes me right now) - the one that got banned for a year or something for gambling?

BACKWARD BLUES?

Champion Data expert Glenn Luff believes Carlton could be set for another difficult season this year, possibly falling even further down the ladder.

More than happy to be underestimated in da meedya.

Those of us with a clue know what's building here, and see beyond the simplistic "no Gibbs and no Docherty also equals no improvement from anyone else in the team" narrative the bogans and no-shows lap up.

Doesn't even mention that we will be getting back Cripps with his first full pre-season under his belt. Only focuses on the loss of Gibbs and Docherty, without considering that Cripps is elite, and he would have to go a long way on his own, to making up for the loss of these two. PFFT!!

What a nuffty!! What a first class tosser!

Riveting stuff.

No improvement from the 2nd and 3rd year players?
No improvement of the young imports?
No valuation of Cripps.
No mention of solid, sound and stable defence.
No mention of the work being done to improve their attacking game.

Pffft..Paralysis from Analysis

Stats are good for determining the past but they can't predict natural improvement in the future.

I think we will win no more than 5 games this year.

No Gibbs and Docherty.
To many kids and not enough seasoned bodies.
No flare up in the forward line.

I think that is a fair assessment.

I am more focussed on how we perform rather than how many we win, would like to see much better linking between our back, mids and in particular forwards this year.

We haven't had a flare up in the forward line since Setanta gave Cloke a kick up the jacksie.
