It's a bit un-PC, but the irony of Graham Chapman asking the first question shouldn't be lost.

Rob McCartney (Jason McCartney's cousin and principal of Lil' Miss Wojee II's school) has picked a good time to head back to the Hawks, looks like he might be able to snag himself a promotion!

... Huh...?
Bit vague.

Does that mean a 3 year extension?

Sounds like they want to lock him in.
Makes sense but he has another year. I would have waited till 2018.

When did he get signed to three years?

The original deal was open ended where either party can terminate with four weeks notice.

First time we've been innovative in years.

Yes, I was under the impression that it was a permanent, ongoing contract.

Correct. He is not on a 3 year contract.

It had protection for the first 3 years.
Could be sacked but had to be compensated under 3 years. Not after that time.

RoCo rated Boltons coaching performance as 16th out of 18 only ahead of Eade and Lyon

All the more reason to hate the bloke

So how is that not a standard three year contract?

To be fair to RoCo, he's an ignoramus.

:banghead:

I wonder where he picked us to finish at the start of the year? Does he pay any attention to list strength, and the kind of teams being picked (how many games experience? etc.)? And if he's largely making assessments on ladder position, then why does Brad Scott escape a bottom 3 ranking? He's taken a team that was on top of the ladder halfway through last year to battling for the spoon the following year.

Did he rate Woosha the best performed coach? :hitcomputer:

Chris Connolly is a @#$%&! wit. A mad professor in the Sheedy mould.
A couple of weeks ago he named his All Australian squad. He had Max Gawn in the ruck. At that stage Gawn had played 8 games for the season and very average games at that.
I can see why he's no longer seriously employed in the AFL. He is a knob jockey.

Because it rolls into a standard workplace contract. Doesn't need extension.
So there may be only notice required.
The compensation may not necessarily be the entire contract btw.
