Armfield injured? Docherty returns? Hopefully Jamo is OK. There will be some other sore boys - including Gibbs, Murphy & White. Not sure Cripps should have played tonight. |

I suspect Everitt, Cripps, Gibbs and Murphy will all come up ok, but Armfield, Menzel and Jamison didn't look great. Tutt has to be dropped. Can we afford to delist him this year? If so, do it. I think Wood needs to be dropped for team balance; oh to still have Hampson on the list instead of Warnock. Henderson to defence, as I've said most of the year, and he'll still probably kick 20 goals for the season just from drifting up forward. Might as well try Rowe up forward if we want to persist with White & Fields in defence. Ideally, and assuming fitness: Out: Tutt, Wood, Fields, Carrazzo In: Docherty, Dick, Rowe, Walker |

Ideally, and assuming fitness: Out: Tutt, Wood, Fields, Carrazzo In: Docherty, Dick, Rowe, Walker I don't mind the idea of trying Rowe forward and putting Hendo back. It's a bit of a desperate move, but Hendo certainly looks more effective in defence. I don't have confidence that Jones or Watson would do better than Rowe, and at least Rowe will consistently compete at either end. Rowe would have to play as 2nd ruck too, because Casboult seems to relish being left as a permanent forward. Wood unlucky, but for team balance he may need to make way. Don't agree with dropping Fields for Dick. Might need to get Yarran forward. Assuming Jamo, Gibbs, Murphy, Cripps, Cripps, Everitt & Menzel are OK- B: Simmo Jamo Fields HB: Tuohy Hendo Buckley C: Gibbs Cripps Docherty HF: Bell Casboult Walker F: Everitt Rowe Yarran R: Kreuzer Curnow Murphy Inter: Carrazzo Menzel White Sub: Holman In- Docherty, Rowe, Walker Out- Armfield (inj), Tutt, Wood |

Our key forward class is currently lacking more than our key defence. We need a developing tall forward and he fits the bill IMO. I also like the Yarran move up forward. It was a worthwhile experiment but he doesn't have enough defensive application or courage to play back. We also have sufficient dash and reasonable ball use down there now. |

grrofunger wrote: hope not ![]() Would be nice to have Boekhorst play a few more games this year, play him as the sub. Let's not worry about the result and how well we play. Get games into as many kids as we can, try players in different positions and stop playing guys who are sore. Cripps needs a spell, Murphy too, although while he's playing well and developing his leadership it may be worthwhile persisting. Anyone who needs surgery, send them out. I liked the idea of giving Jones a game under Barker, and Hendo going back. There's some merit to letting guys settle, but also wouldn't mind throwing it up a bit either. |

Give Jones the rest of the season and if he continues to be a VFL standard player, find whoever decided to recruit him, and decided to put him on a multi year contract and give up anything for him, take that person, and shake them severely and then tell them never ever to make a recruiting decision again |

Freo only scraping home really, not performing like the top side on the ladder recently and coming off a probable loss to Hawthorn and a long trip to Tasmania may even up the odds a little. Flip a coin. |
