Surely a few Dead Men walking amongst the likes of Wiley, Buttifant, Green, Laidley and co. No point paying them out as whoever comes in next will want their own crew. Will any of them survive?

I guess it depends on who the new coach will be. Does the new coach know, or has worked with Wiley, Buttifant, Green, Laidley and co? Really to hard to speculate until the new coach is found.

When a new coach joins a club he usually brings in or wants certain people around him I guess, so chances are more in favor of a clean out than not I would imagine.

Out of them all, I'd like to see Laidley stick around.

Judd gave a mention to Laidley yesterday in his press conference.

If, as expected we choose an untried coach, laidley should be retained

As the All Blacks say when things aren't going well...."sweep the sheds"

Let's start afresh

Green and Barker were there during the Ratts years so not sure why they stayed on.

Barker yes. Green only appointed end of 2012 when MM was signed.

I thought Wiley would follow Mick out the door as a long term mate but he apparently went to the club and made it clear that his loyalty was to Carlton and the players. That impressed me and maybe he will stay.

Typically, it should be up to an incoming coach to pick and choose who he wants but a smart operator does not throw out all the club's IP.

Mick threw Brad Green under the bus this morning on SEN.
Quite pleasant listening really.
He really is a slimy ba$tard and I say this despite hoping Green goes at end of year.
MM still scatter shooting blame any chance he gets.

What did he blame on Green?

This is not verbatim..
'Id say to Brad, why are there 5 forwards there, or 7 forwards there..Brad is a young coach , he is there to learn. Id catch him ball watching instead of acting on what he saw.'

There was more. Including how he didnt seem to think he'd trashed the players publically while everyone else had..

I liked the comment the side will get better in the 2nd half of the year because players are returning from injury.
Brad Green would have sent a text by now saying FU Mick.

before old age pension time hits.
