We still struggle coming out from the kick out, we still struggle with our forward structure in preparation for, and general fluidity at centre clearances and forward line stoppages.

New stoppage coach, new ruck coach, new premiership cup in the cabinet. :P

Maybe our defensive structure and the way we set up that gives us the best chance to apply pressure has an effect over parts of our game but when it is weighed up sticking with the defensive structure allows us to score more than the opposition.

I'm not thinking some sort of sprinting exercise to free up a target, I don't think we screen very well around the 50 arc to open up those long options we want to target sometimes.

You are probably right. Up until today it appeared that Fagan had the job.

Barker has re-signed for 2 years with Carlton but doesn't mean much. GC have interviewed him.

That's one small step for Rocket, one giant leap for John Barker.

if we have signed him for another two years and we value the views of sos and bb apparently barker has some merit and value to us as a coach
personally i would like to see barker with his own side and some time to implement his views, game and player management that would answer a lot of questions about his worth and direction under previous coaches

And, then, if it turns out that he's actually any good, we'll have him back thanks.

Get Hodge for Barker and Rocket for Craig.
Hodge is a well spoken and deep thinker of the game if his appearances on AFL 360 are any indication and he has a great mixture of great player and bad bastard about him stemming from his time at the most successful club of the last generation.
Rocket is past it as a coach but not as a developer of players and club culture. Given the basket case that was the GCS when he arrives off the field, he should have been given the Nobel Prize for culture change and not the arse.
Plus his dad was a hard man and coach.

Hodge is a sniping scumbag. Would prefer to keep Barker.
