Pick 7 for 19 Whiley & Jaksch. Is this a bust for the blues?

Excuses re the later doesn't wash with me. 3rd year in the system & has made no in roads.

Had high hopes but as all things CFC slowly evaporating.

Yeah, I can definitely see SOS fronting the media and calling this one a bust. Seems logical.

Too early to call but someone mentioned Paul Bower II a few weeks back that sent shivers down the spine...

That'll do wonders for their confidence.

C'mon that's just too early a call! I remember some people thinking we'd made a mistake getting Lachy when he was younger. It takes time for many talls to build up their bodies. Give Jaksch some time. And I wouldn't be surprised if Whiley comes through as a serviceable player as well.

For mine its a bit hard to judge as the team as a whole is deplorable at the minute.

Yeah sorry that was me.... Jaksch seems to hear footsteps like Bower did. He has more upside than Bower but needs to grow a pair first. He might do that with some confidence under a new coach. Playing the year in the VFL will help too

Where did he rank Boekhurst & DVR before last years draft?

It was the Boekhorst pick he didn't rate, I don't recall anything about DVR.

Can someone please edit the TC header as jaesch is erroneously showing up as JAKSCH.

It was noted in the pre-season that KJ was extremely light on and MM said he needed to add on 10kgs (not to mention he had an interrupted pre-season & injured rnd1).

Whiley also injured pre-season, hopefully gains some form in the VFL to have a run in the 1's.
