Things I really hate about us at the moment:

1) How many times do I have to watch our boys run straight past the opposition player carrying the ball? The classic was Jeremy Cameron in 3rd quarter ducking to try to evade Simon White, only to realise White had no intention of tackling him...

2) do our players have any idea where to run when the opposition has the ball?

3) I'd be very interested to see how much time we spend jogging vs running, compared with other teams. It looks to me like we don't run hard unless we think we are going to either directly get the ball or are going to catch the guy with the ball. Other teams will run hard just to take their opponent away from the play or to put pressure on even if they know they won't catch the ball carrier.

4) sticking a gentle arm out in place of a tackle. And if we do happen to get our arms around them, is there any chance we might consider restricting their arms so they can't get a clean handball of For?? I don't reckon there is a player in the league who wouldn't back themselves to run through a throng of Carlton players.

5) the dicky little handball the flops down to the teammates shins

6) kicks and handballs which force teammates to stop and wait or go backwards to get it. What ever happened to kicking it so the recipient doesn't have to break stride??

Honestly, I think our lack of talent is not the biggest concern and getting better players will not fix the problems that we have. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced that a new coach will have a great effect either. We need a culture transplant.

Damage Reduction. Our wizard's spell resistance has been destroyed. A new Druid will set us straight.

Malthouse: We'll keep shuffling the team around. #NAVYBLUES
Malthouse: I'm in awe of GWS. The difference in talent today was extraordinary. #NAVYBLUES
Malthouse: Unfortunately we didn't have the manpower to go with GWS. It's as simple as that. #NAVYBLUES
Malthouse: We can't afford to let ourselves become fragmented from here. #NAVYBLUES
Malthouse: I thought we were massively competitive early. From there, their (GWS) young legs and sprinting power overpowered us. #NAVYBLUES
Malthouse: I told my boys to 'play the game'. There are a few players who are too robotic. #NAVYBLUES

Are you serious? CLW and CLW and then perhaps we can CSW. We need to become Bbn.

Players will be robotic when they're in self preservation mode.
Same as coaches
And same as board and president.

The club is attempting to preserve itself...

Let's not kid ourselves, a lack of quality on our list is our biggest concern

It's a woeful list

Think about this: Cameron Wood is currently our number 1 ruckman (I'll leave it at that)

Lol. Probably.

D&d talk, because footy is no different to dungeons and dragons. A fantasy world we escape to forget our mundane lives. Neither is serious.

It is amazing when you talk to the men that have played they do not take it as serious as well do and very few have a undying love to a club that we do

So what's happening is were in rebuild but rebuild might mean blow outs.
Blow outs mean nobody coming
Nobody coming means reduced revenue
Reduced revenue is a disaster.
So the club doesn't know what to do.
This blow out means they're going to play kids.
These kids are not good enough generally or can't run out a game.
Means bigger blow outs.
Keep in mind were finished from free to air for years.
Which again means financial disaster.

The club really hasn't planned itself correctly over years.
Terrible decisions
Terrible appointments

This is the perfect storm for what's happening now.
Don't get high on your own supply...
It was never going to be as easy as what we thought...

Club is pretty much washed up

The board of directors is supposed to give the club direction.
It's been all over the place for years.
It has no idea what to do now

Can you smell what they were cooking?

We would have lost a million dollars in the last month I reckon.

And Synners, that will only become worse in the immediate future, as we have now lost our "blockbuster" game status. The big Coll, Rich, Ess games are a thing of the past now. And no kid in their right mind will barrack for Carlton unless they're bullied by their parents.

Remember the worry in 2012 was that if we dont get Malthouse we would lose 10k members.

...and if Judd didn't continue, we'd have fewer members.
