We have all spoken about the club needing to have an independent review from the top down and in all aspects and having the board step aside but petitioning the club isn't going to get it to happen, I think we all know they won't fall on their sword.

If the AFL is petitioned could that spark what needs to be done?

Could the AFL enforce (and I don't know if they have the power to do this) an independent review of the whole club including the board and insist that what that review comes out with is what is to occur at the Carlton Football Club.

We know and so do all the other clubs that Carlton is a shit fight and if the AFL is petitioned by members and supporters insisting this be done, could it be a way to force the issue?

I don't know the inner workings of the club like a lot do on TC, but names like Fahour, Elliot, Brown, Fitzpatrick and Walls have come up as a new board (with Fahour as President).

Bring in a good young coach like a Caracella (my preference) or others we have mentioned, along with an experienced Director of Coaching and everything else this club is missing. Get rid of the players who don't want to put in the required effort and get those 'types' in with the proper recruiting and development in place.

The AFL insisted on certain things with Melbourne, can they enforce these types of changes or is this out of their control?

There are people out there who know what needs to be done to resurrect the club but it needs a clean out and that will obviously have to be forced, writing to those you want out isn't going to get it done.

Is this a viable option or an impossibility?

If it gets to a stage where our financial position starts adversely affecting the AFL revenue agenda, then I think they can and will step in.
