He signed a 2 year extension at the end of 2017, so yeah contract up at the end of this year. |

can anyone confirm if we are actually able to trade casboult at the end of this year? i have heard rumours that he will be involved in a trade for jack martin however AFAIK he should be a free agent at the end of this year. have also heard something about levi possibly having a trigger in his contract for next year if he plays the final round, would this remove his status as free agent? |

Fasolo was on 1 year deal + triggers - fair to assume he hasn’t triggered anything |

Big year next year. Would love to see us lock a few away early. Looks like that is what we are starting. Cripps in particular is obviously going to be a talking point all year. |

Hopefully we can lock Walsh and Harry on 5 year deals. There is so much confusion about McGovern's contract... anybody know what the official status is? |

Some minor house keeping for the first post... - Owies is a Category B rookie - Honey & Phillips are also on rookie deals (Cat. A) - McGovern is out of contract this year - Might be useful to flag Moore as a supplementary addition - ie +1 to the original list. |

It burns me to see his contract expire 2023 while Cripps and Harry expire next year. |

I haven't seen it in writing, but I've heard that Murphy had a clause added in his last contract extension that the club will gift him games as the medical sub in order to get him to 300 games. Last week against North the tallest forward we had on the ground was JSOS and were forced to play a bullocking mid-fielder in Cripps at FF. So who do we go for as medical sub, knowing full well some of our players get soft tissue injuries every few weeks? The smallest player on our list who can't run out a full game and is a fading light. That makes a lot of sense, but hey, a contract is a contract right? It's the equivalent of cash payments under the table, lacks ethics, bad look and unfair on younger players who are effectively missing games on their potential 300 games. Sure he weather the storm for us as captain in a time of hardship, but doesn't winning games of football count for something? Teague says that is the selection criteria but I'm not seeing it. |

Quote: 01 - Jack Silvagni - 2023 02 - Paddy Dow - 2023 03 - Jesse Motlop - 2023 08 - Lachlan Fogarty - 2023 11 - Mitch McGovern - 2023 12 - Tom De Koning - 2023 15 - Sam Docherty - 2023 17 - Brodie Kemp - 2023 20 - Lachie Plowman - 2023 22 - Caleb Marchbank - 2023 24 - Nic Newman - 2023 27 - Marc Pittonet - 2023 28 - David Cuningham - 2023 33 - Lewis Young - 2023 34 - Sam Philp - 2023 35 - Edward Curnow - 2023 36 - Josh Honey - 2023 38 - Sam Durdin - 2023 41 - Domanic Akuei - 2023 Probably only half a dozen certainties from the 19 names above. Not a lot of trade capital either. Silvagni, Cuningham, Curnow, Docherty & Plowman are free agents. Jack & Doc would be in the aforementioned ‘certainties’ & Ed probably calls time. Highly unlikely to see any compensation from the others… maybe Cunners comes good?.. either way, no compo. |
