Plenty to disappear this year.
And a few more would go this year were it not for contracts.
Can see why they said it's a 3 year renovation.

Anyone have any updated information on the 2017 contracts?

Apparently 27 players uncontracted at the end of he year, seems like a large number. Hopefully we get the key players re-signed sooner rather than later.

Did we give Palmer an extra year when he was traded in?

"Midfielders Sam Kerridge and Rhys Palmer will remain on the list with both having contracts for next season."

I believe Gorringe is running around in the 2nd division of the EFL for Park Orchards. He'll be playing against Simon White, Hisham Kerbatieh and Brock McLean who play for East Doncaster. Dillon Viojo Rainbow has also signed there for when he's not playing VFL.

Three-year extension for Dow

CARLTON Football Club has secured the signature of exciting youngster Zac Fisher, who has extended his current contract agreement.

The 19-year-old will remain in the navy blue until at least the end of 2021.

The West Australian has played 22 senior games for the Blues since being drafted via pick No.27 overall in the 2016 NAB AFL National Draft. He went on to make his debut in Round 4, 2017 against the Gold Coast Suns at Etihad Stadium.

Fisher said he was thrilled to put pen to paper on a contract extension with the Blues.

“It’s nice to be able to have your future secured for at least the next three years and now I’m really focused on playing my role for the side and getting us back to where we want to be as a club,” Fisher said.

“Working alongside the likes of Marc Murphy and Patrick Cripps has been huge for my game so far this season and there’s a real thirst to learn amongst the group.

“I want to continue to the learn the craft and do what the coaches need me to out there every week. We’re a tight-knit playing group in it for the long haul together and we’re all really determined to get the Club back up the ladder again.”

It seems there's a couple of new nicknames doing the rounds...

Senior coach Brendon Bolton praised the small forward/midfielder for his football nous.

“In only his second year, Zac still has a fair way to go and we know he will continue to improve, but we’ve been very impressed by his footy smarts and his ferocity at the ball,” Bolton said.

“He is a terrific young man who has settled in seamlessly at the Club and his contract extension is a reflection on the belief he has in this playing group and the direction they’re heading in.”

Fisher joins 2017 top-10 draft picks in Paddy Dow and Lochie O’Brien who have re-signed with the Blues in recent weeks.
