I can see where Rohan is going, suggesting we give the board time. But really, has anyone read the "Key Drivers for Success"? (http://media.heraldsun.com.au/sport/CAR2937.pdf) Granted I'm a cynical old bastard, but it reads like just one more corporate wank-fest mission statement. Lots of lofty unmeasurable mother hood statements couched in touchy feely HR twaddle that staff will read once, then throw in a draw never to be seen again. To paraphrase, "Don't mission statement, do"! Yes, its only been 6 months. But apart from getting SOS as list manager, what real changes have we seen? We've got numerous people with issues with the membership department. What actual statements from the Prez have we seen? He's barely said a word publicly since his appointment. Did he stand up and tell us in early Jan, "look we're stuffed, I need time to fix this. Its going to be bumpy and we're going to struggle but work with me?" In fact, has anyone heard anything from him on Radio etc ??? I just google searched him and can't find anything from him or interview with him since Jul 2014. So much for Driver #8. "ENGAGING IN OPEN AND HONEST COMMUNICATION WITH OUR SUPPORTER AND STAKEHOLDERS" Again, cynical old bastard me, but Prez, 'trust us' has worn out its welcome. |

Trigg was installed in mid-August, that was released early December and it's now mid-April. Driver 1 - Strong & united culture - rebuffing Waite's demands, turfing Garlett & Robinson; selection policy; many messages out to the fans to engender more active engagement (new and old media) Driver 2 - Development - In progress presumably Driver 3 - Supporter-centric - No forum yet; member council was formed IIRC; home game initiatives; membership deals and restructures Driver 4 - Elite list management and football programs - SOS installed, consultations with MLB teams to get 'moneyball' data analysis down pat; restructured recruitment network Driver 5 - Building attendance & game day experience - Part of driver 3 really, and has been well established already Driver 6 - Boosting community programs - Have seen rise in local community involvement; book program, more events for kids and charities Driver 7 - Facility development - training facilities good presently, initiated plan for developing supporter elements at all stadiums Driver 8 - Greater public engagement - work in progress and taps into drivers 1, 3 & 5; Judd takeover a pilot model going forward from the social media standpoint Driver 9 - Ensuring excellent customer service & building revenue - Work in progress but membership department restructure reflects a good work ethic; again, taps into other drivers Driver 10 - Protecting & projecting Carlton - cult hero initiative for the coin toss (the Fev thing); greater promotion of the Ghosts of Princes Park and other historical/past-player elements; promotion of youth is back on the agenda again, but all still a work in progress. There's some progress there but a lot of it, as you'd expect, is cursory. More to be done, but well done so far. |

Agree GWS -should be driver one - win a f------ game before round 5 in a season just once in 3 seasons ![]() driver 2 - have a consistent/coherent /realistic credible message as to where the team is at driver 3 -have an independent review of all aspects of the club including and most importantly the performance of the board and executive |

It's only hysteria if it's not true. To me, all the criticism is totally justified. The major problem is that the last couple of years have seen some bizarre list management decisions that in no way give me any comfort that we are planning for the future. Not using pick 19 on the best 18 year old available showed me that we are in still in denial about how far back we actually are. We are yet to embrace the draft in any meaningful way and we still rely on picks in the third round and later to get ourselves key position players. |

the fact we don't have one single legitimate A grade prospect playing right now to get excited about, is about the worst thing about CFC right now, imo. at least in those really dark years we had Fev, and a bunch of guys giving it a crack each week (pagan years excluded). |

Its about time too that Mark Subjudice goes public and admits that performance at present is unacceptable both on and off the field and things must change ![]() didn't THE SUB PROMISE A MUCH IMPROVED PERFORMANCE THIS YEAR - SHOW SOME LEADERSHIP SUB By the way fan engagement is not just getting the bloody hovercraft back and fireworks - try getting a ferocious commitment from players staff executive and board to be bloody ruthless and competitive in all aspects of the footy |
